Pros: Great Drive. Just works. Have not had any issues. WD has one of the best rma setup in the country. Nothing but good from me.

Cons: I can't afford more of them.

Other Thoughts: I am using these in a raid 6 with Adaptec 5805 running ESX 4.0u1. Origionally purchased these to replace the seagate junk that intel recommended. I had 10 seagate drives fail within 3 months of install. I am solely a WD man now. I have been using these and the 750Gig RE3 for about 2 1/2 years now. Great drives. Have not had 1 fail yet. (Knock on wood.)

Pros: They were not seagates

Cons: So after two seagate failures in our iscsi arrays in under a year and all the issues with seagate firmware lately I decided to switched over to the WD RE3s in 500gb and 1tb in our last iscsi build. So far out of 24 drives we have had to RMA 9 in under 6 months. I am now back to buying seagate and replacing the WD when they fail with segates. Much better drives all around.

Pros: None

Cons: I have always had many good experiences with WD drives until now. I ordered 2 of these drives and 1 non-raid edition. In less than four months I have had to RMA all three drives back to WD.

Other Thoughts: I hope WD gets their issuses resolved soon. I would like my faith restored in their product. Right now I'm a bit skeptical of their quality.
