Failed WD diagnostics after one day of use.

Crashed and Replaced

Tech Level: high - Ownership: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: The drive performed well until I connected it by USB to Windows 7 64. I was trying to restore my data and it crashed the drive Know window7 64 problem. When I tried to reformat the drive it formatted at 32 meg. I contacted WD and had a replacement the following day.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Their website had lots of info and they are very responsive to e-mail questions. They cross ship and I had my replacement drive the following morning.

Pros: Good quality, as I'd expect from any WD drive

Other Thoughts: Mine came well packaged. I ordered 2, Each came in a separate box wrapped in a layer of bubble wrap and then those two boxes were put in a bigger one padded with paper on the bottom (should have had paper top and bottom). Seems like newegg is reading the reviews and packing these better
