Seagate Momentus 7200.2 ST9200420AS 200GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Notebook Hard Drive -Bare Drive

Pros: Ultra Fast and Quiet. Increased the save/load speed of PS3 game saves immensely. (Ps3 originally comes with a Seagate Momentus 5400rpm) Lots of room for storage vs the original 60gb.

Cons: None thus far

Pros: Reliable. Quiet. No issues with installation, and doesn't seem to run overly hot. Long warranty.

Cons: Little to no performance increase seen from upgrade. Huge drop in battery life.

Other Thoughts: I got this drive as an upgrade to replace the 120GB Fujitsu 5400rpm/8Mb cache drive in my Lenovo ThinkPad T61.

Performance difference is negligible, and I've had a huge drop in battery life. If I had to do it all over again, I'd get a 320GB 5400rpm in the same price range, knowing that higher-density platters offer good performance, and I'd go Hitachi, who I believe has a better reputation for power-saving technology

Pros: I Replaced a Seagate Momentus 160 GB 7200 rpm drive with an 8 Meg Buffer with This 200 GB 7200 rpm drive with a 16 Meg Buffer and it Made a Noticeable difference in performance and Multi-tasking. I Had No issues with vibration or any other concerns. I would highly Recommend this Drive.

Other Thoughts: Unusually slow shipping for some reason. Normally Newegg Products are at your Door before they should be,but the last two deliveries were not really Up to NewEgg Standards. Their Customer Service is Number ONE and they take care of every Concern Immediately. They Still Get My Business and are Still Number 1 in My Book.

Pros: Good value and easy installation. This was the first time I changed a hard drive in a laptop so was expecting some issues with size or configuration but it went without a hitch.

Cons: None - did not notice the vibration as mentioned by some of the reviewers

Pros: FAST! Fit perfectly in my PS3, absolutely no problems. Tons of space compared to any stock PS3 hard drives.

Cons: Runs a little warm, but that's what you get for a 7200rpm laptop drive.

Other Thoughts: Thinking about upgrading to a 7200rpm 500GB when they come out in a few months.

Pros: Nice price, nice capacity, nice warranty.

Cons: Puts an unpleasant vibration in my thinkpad palm rest.

Other Thoughts: I wrote a similar review a while back. Just FYI, I returned the vibrating drive to Seagate for replacement. They replaced it, but the replacement drive also vibrates excessively (IMNSHO).
I have since tried Hitachi 200G and 320G 7200 RPM drives in this T61 and a T400. They don't vibrate. These Seagates do.

Pros: This is a great drive.Increase in speed(comparing to 5400 RPM drives)is amazing.It runs silently and cooler than my old 5400 RPM drive.
The normal operating temperature is 30C,while on heavy-used mode it's 37-38C.This is much cooler than my old 5400 drive with readings of 34C and 43C in heavy-used mode.

Pros: It's quiet and cool. The seek times are fast. I had this shipped to me in Iraq and it took that sort of punishment!

Pros: This seagate is fast and so far is performing quite well for me. My boot up time is now incredibly fast into OS X Tiger. My macbook boots up in 10-15 seconds (no joke). I am still amazed at how fast things load and no beach ball or waiting yet. That may have a lot to do with the fact that i have not yet cluttered up the drive. I am currently using 58.44 GB out of 185.99 GB of storage.

Cons: It is a little more noisy than i had hoped but performs so well i have decided i don't care. Now that doesn't mean it is really noisy, because it is still pretty darn quiet and i am the type of person that does not like a lot of fan noise on a computer. Just understand that you will have to live with a little noise more than likely, in other words, it is not perfectly quiet. If you want a guaranteed super quiet drive, i would recommend buying a large capacity 300 GB 5400 rpm drive. It will still work very well and be fast enough for most folks. If you feel the need for speed, then expect to put up with a little noise more than likely. If it is A LOT of noise, then maybe send the drive back? - but i am not an expert on that.

Other Thoughts: I am the kind of person that reads all the reviews before purchasing a drive. I was looking for a great deal or bang for the buck and this was definitely that for about $80 bucks when i purchased because it is performing very well and i did not have to spend too much. Hope this review helps you. I am very happy w/ this drive so far, but if i had to do it again, i might get a huge drive at 5400 for perfect quietness and tranquility.

Pros: Installed and throughly benchmarked + scanned with Drive Genius, no bad sectors (or any problem for that matter) detected. Noticeably faster than my previous HDD (120gb 5400rpm). Quiet as quiet gets. Awesome price.

Cons: Came in too fast for me to blink (two-day UPS free shipping).

Other Thoughts: As a replacement drive in my hackintosh, it serves its purpose very well and does so VERY efficiently. You definitely can't go wrong with this one.
