Pros: It spins!
It works!
Mine wasn't DOA...

Cons: Nothing yet... if mine suddenly dies, I'll try to update this review. Maybe I just got lucky?

Other Thoughts: Great for the price, if you want to take the risk of a DOA. That said, the manufacturer seems very willing to help those in need.

Pros: None

Cons: I should have listened to the other reviews. I bought one of these last month and it was fine. This time the drive is DOA.

Pros: If they powered up at all, I'm sure they would have been nice

Cons: Ordered 2, both were DOA and would not power up. Sent in for replacement, got 2 more, one of which was DOA. Sent them both back and got a single 4TB version instead and it worked fine

Other Thoughts: I've had good luck with drives until this incident, not really sure if they were damaged in shipping or left the factory bad. The box they came in seemed intact. The failed drives would not power up no matter what computer or power supply I used, and I have plenty of test equipment that I tried to use with no luck.

Pros: None

Cons: After building the computer and the database to store on the drive along with the raw images for the photographer, the drive would not except pictures and kept disappearing of rom windows. Would lock up the computer when trying to move images from an external drive. Formatted still same issues. Can't return it the problems started about 45 days after installing it.

Other Thoughts: I will have to call western digital to get it replaced

Pros: When it works, it is a very nice NVR drive. Western Digital RMA is always nice and easy.

Cons: have ordered 2, and had one DoA.

Pros: made for camera DVR's

Cons: Ordered 7 drives in one week, 3 out of 7 were DOA......

Pros: Very quiet and not too much $. I formatted it and i know it worked for the week i had it (before sold as a cam dvr).

Cons: Cost a little more.

Other Thoughts: I didn't test out camera performance on the drive, but worked ok when formatted.

Pros: Nice packaging colors.

Cons: Out of 4 drives ordered two were out of the box failures. I should have waited longer for them to work the bugs out.
