Pros: Worked fine
Cons: Died after 2 years of gaming. The card still lights up, sounds healthy, fans spin, but it doesn't produce an output image anymore. Died a few months past warranty too.
Pros: Decent while it worked.
Cons: Super loud but I don't care about that. What I do care about is the fact my card just died today for no apparent reason. I was playing Battlefield 4 and all of a sudden black screen. Reboot black screen. Nothing is working, just got back from my friends house to put it in his pc BLACK SCREEN nothing is working. Put in my old Nvidia gtx 580 and VOILA! back to life. I guess I won't be going back to the red team no more. I mean total non sense and no warranty after 2 years. I purchased the card on decemeber 29th of 2012 and received it in january 2013. So i'm 3 months passed the warranty and now I'm out of luck which is wrong. Black screen happened while at stock speeds. Never had a GPU fail on me let alone any pc parts. I guess theres a first time for everything. Sapphire 2 year warranty? now I understand why they put it 2 years only cause they knew theyre cards die after that. Happy I never sold my gtx 580 cause at least now I can still play.
Pros: great card good performance
Cons: not reliable
Other Thoughts: she just died on me after less than 14 months...
Pros: Great for a little while
Cons: Paid top dollar for 2 of these cards for a new system build. Initially I was happy with my purchase. Within a few months a Fan literally broke/fell off one of them. Sent it in for RMA which was pretty easy, they 'upgraded' me to a different card that didn't match. So now I can't use them together in xfire. Then shortly after that, the exact same problem as the first card, the fan breaks off the second card. So right now, for almost $1,000 I have one card I don't want, and another one that is broken.
Other Thoughts: Did some research on my problem and I am not alone. Unless Sapphire takes very good care of me I will not be a customer to them for my upcoming purchases
Pros: runs everything super high settings.
Cons: it makes a buzzing sound alot when playing intense games which is annoying as hell but you get past it living with it for over a year
Pros: This card is a beast if you can get it for $350 or lower. It has run all of my games on Ultra or High settings. The drivers were easy to grab directly off AMD's driver page and have worked phenomenally.
Cons: A few warnings. This card requires 2 PCIE 8pin connectors from your PSU. Be mindful of the PSU you have or are planning to run with this card if you plan on running dual v-cards(SLI or XFire). I am running just one card on a 650 Corsair PSU and it is doing just fine, but if I wanted to add more I would need to upgrade my PSU as well. Also, this card is quite large so make sure your case is large enough to handle the size.
Other Thoughts: I purchased this card with the sole intent to play BF4 on my first custom build PC. I have been supremely happy with its performance on BF4. It runs on Ultra settings without any frame rate issues or crazy things happening. I also play Diablo 3, League, CS:Source, CS:GO, Guild Wars 2, SWTOR, Tomb Raider, and many more. This card runs all of them in max settings without an issue.
Pros: This is an absolutely awesome card. I am running at 1200/1600 using Trixx and no issues so far. Plays all games on ultra including most at 2560 x 1440. I got this for $220 on sale and bought two. That's a pretty ridiculous price for this level of card and I couldn't be happier in that regard. Scores just under 12000 in graphics using 3dmark. It's a beast.
Cons:
Fans do get loud under load. Also, I absolutely HATE that there is only one dual link DVI which most high resolution monitors require. For a card that's designed to run multiple high resolution displays this seems really stupid to me. Those adapters cost between $60 - $100. What's crazy is the 7770 Vapor X actually has 2 DL DVI, but this one doesn't? Help me understand that one!
Also, AMD driver support is just nothing like NVidia. I love the value in AMD, but there is unquestionably a tradeoff. When it comes to my own high end builds I will only use Nvidia cards for this reason. That being said, AMD's driver support is getting better (FINALLY), so hopefully they continue in that direction as you can get so much more performance per dollar spent with AMD cards vs Nvidia. I have had some driver issues with these cards so there is no question that is a con as I hate wasting time trying to make games function due to simple driver issues. I've never had a problem like that with Nvidia cards.
Other Thoughts:
I am rating the card at 5 eggs mostly because of the price I got it for and the performance at that price point, but at it's current price of $599 there is no way this card gets 5 eggs. You could get a GTX780ti which would destroy this card in both performance and driver support for $699. For $500 you could get the R9 290 which has more memory, higher 512 bit interface and 20% more stream processors. Given the newer cards and breakthroughs in performance on both platforms this card really isn't worth more than $350 in today's environment, so at this price I'd probably give it something like 2 eggs just based on performance/dollar. I'd take a GTX 770 even with 2GB vs 3GB over this card any day as the GTX 770 outperforms this card even when it's overclocked on 3DMark and you have fewer driver conflicts.
If you can pick up this card for $300 or less then it's a great deal. If you can, I'd suggest installing the card with a clean windows install to minimize chances of driver issues.
One final thought. I think it's ridiculous that people would rate the card with 1 egg purely based on issues with the rebate or their own inability to address the driver issues. I said I would rate this card at about 2 eggs at this price, but keep in mind that has nothing to do with the driver issues which I know come along with AMD cards and I'm prepared to handle them. It infuriates me when people rate components based on their lack of experience or expertise instead of the card's actual performance. Also, I've never had an issue with any rebate from Sapphire because I follow the very simple and basic instructions and submit the information timely. I've also never had an issue with the actual hardware of any of the 15+ sapphire cards I've worked with. I think Sapphire offers some of the best performance/price deals out there especially when you follow the basic rebate procedures and this is a great example of that. $220 for this kind of card is excellent.

Pros: It produced an image.
Cons: Had trouble running A LOT of games
Died after around 3 years
Lots of crashes towards the end of its life. Was very unreliable.
Other Thoughts: I would recommend to stay away from AMD. I bought this card as an "upgrade" to my GTX 570. Wasn't an upgrade at all. I'm not sure if my card was faulty or something, but I was very disappointed with the results of this card. Probably one of the biggest mistakes I made. I ended up paying more than i did for my 570 for equal or mostly worse performance. Right away, after installing it, I noticed that the frames were very unstable. It had a hard time keeping constant fps, where my old 570 had no problems.
The card died on me a while back, so I've been left without a card for a while now. The rest of my computer works absolutely perfect, which is ironic, considering that the rest of the computer is about a year older than the 7970 was when I bought it.
At this point, it makes more sense to get a whole new rig, so I guess Newegg and all you computer part companies should thank AMD for making and selling a product that fails so consistently (looking at other reviews of this product), forcing customers to buy new parts regularly.
Get Nvidia. It may cost a bit more, but you're paying for reliability and quality assurance. On top of that, Nvidia's hardware and drivers just work better with most games, due to them working directly with game manufacturers to get their cards working better than AMD's.
