Pros: Saved $185 with the Ryzen build and by far a better system over my other i5 7600k build. Ryzen 5 1500x, Gigabyte GA-AB350 Gaming, 8GB Hyperfury 2133, EVGA 1060 6GB, Samsung Evo 850 500 Nova Bench score 2151 vs 2000. Superposition Score 9191 vs 7707 The CPU score on Novabench was 1013 on the 1500x as compared to 682 on the i5. The Ryzen System only has 8GB of Ram 2133 and the intel system has 16GB of DDR4 3200. I'm not sure we need more than 8GB for what we do. So I saved $185 on this build and it really does perform better. I built this for my 11 year-old son and its better than mine. Kinda bummed!
Cons: Stock cooler is just ok ...but free. Not really a con
Overall Review: We play BF1 just about every night and his looks just a bit smoother than mine. He has a 60hz monitor and i have 144 hz. I bet i could have bought a lower version of this processor and it would have worked just as well for him. Save some cash. This is definitely a better value in my opinion. I would take some of that extra money and get a slightly better motherboard...or the next level up on on a graphics card would be nice too.
