Question 1

This is my second HDD I have purchased and this HDD is a lot noisier then my 1TB Seagate. Does anyone else's HDD make noise or is it just mine?

Iv heard these drives can be on the noisy/loud side but nothing very noticeable,  but it shouldn't be any louder than most high performance HDD 's. I guess it depends on what type of Seagate you had. In my experience my current WD Black has a very slight "Hmm" - I built my current  gaming PC with the goal of making it totally silent for normal operation and found the loudest component was my WD Black, and there are 2 fans on my GPU, 2 140mm's in the front intake, 2 120mm's for exhaust, and of course a 140mm power supply fan.  But by no means would I consider the Black noisy and apart from SSD's Iv also used WD greens and Blues and Seagate Barracudas and Firecuda Hybrids and Constellations just to name a few (I think the Constellation was the loudest) . other than companies and businesses who needs 6TB of space?

Gamers with a large library would need it especially as internet data caps are becoming more of a thing in the US. For example, all of my Steam games I had downloaded were lost because I was not aware the uninstaller would go through and clean out the downloads without at least asking to retain them. Some of the games I still currently play are anywhere from 40-100 gigs to download and being near my data cap for the month I had to wait until the meter reset the following month to redownload.

Furthermore content creators be they for business or even simply hobbyists can require a lot of data storage depending on the work they are doing. If you are working with 4K video it's going to help out quite a bit to have that capacity around to store your files. 3D artists also tend to have enormous asset libraries. Then there's those who are learning things via downloadable videos. Someone who hits the studying pretty hard can easily rack up terabytes worth of study courses.

All and all the average person is probably not going to need this much storage space currently. However, as various technologies advance data storage needs also change. Just back in the mid 1990's 1.6 gigs was considered to be an incredible amount of space. Today that can be easily filled up with a medium-quality HD video download. Now we have 4K video and VR, both of which have enormous data requirements. I would argue that this drive is more for power users (individuals and businesses alike) where a combination of performance and capacity are important.

However, 6 TB is a great size for those home users looking to run their own personal media server which does come in handy for those annoying periods when the internet is down and you cannot access Netflix or your digital video library on Vudu or wherever.

Question 3

What is the difference between this WD6002FZW and the more popular WD6001FZWX.
Seems the warranty is different? 
But why?
Seems like it's a unicorn - as I cannot find ANY reviews for it anywhere?

The warranty for all WD "Black" series regardless of capacity is still five years according to the official documentation from Western Digital.

The main difference is that the updated version is slightly more efficient in a few ways:
1. Draws less power overall:
(Read/Write, Idle, Standby/Sleep)
"6002": 9.1, 7.1, 1.0
"6001": 10.6, 7.6, 1.6

2. Faster Host to/from drive (sustained) performance:
"6002": 227 MB/s
"6001": 218 MB/s

3. Quieter operation:
(Idle, Seek)
"6002": 29 (dBA)7, 36 (dBA)7
"6001": 31 (dBA)7, 34 (dBA)7
