Great base for a Media System

Pros: Fired up and worked as expected out of the box. System runs stable with no crashes using windows 7 64, a Phenom 9950 and a Sapphire 4850 with DVI. Typical hours of use per day is roughly 16.
Cons: Nothing noted but we also do not play high end 3d games with this system.
Overall Review: This is the core of our entertainment system. If we're not watching TV on it, it's playing videos or music. It is also the media server for the house. With two teens this little box does a lot of networked media in the house.
Should have skipped this one

Pros: The mouse enabled bios screen is nice.
Cons: The system constantly throttles everything down under any level of loading besides web browsing. Low P state even with power saving features disabled in the bios. This significantly impacts system performance. The bios also will change settings on you but that doesn't mean much since it's going to do it's own thing any ways. I've been fighting for a week with this board to try and get it to perform as advertised but will not co-operate. The MSI support is useless.
Overall Review: I get better performance with my 5 year old system and a HD 3850. Skip this one and buy something else.
Stable Performance

Pros: WiFi stability. We have a lot of devices on the WiFi network and this router has not had an issue handling the demand at all. This includes streaming Netflix, while listening to Pandora on another device and YouTube on a few other tablets. No issues. Definitely worth a purchase when on sale.
Cons: Couldn't get the hard drive to work on the usb which cost the rating one egg. I'm using an NAS on my wired network so not really a big deal for this house hold.
Overall Review: It looks nice on the shelf and doesn't have any crazy blinking lights on the front that I can see across the room. I prefer it like this.
Worked for the first few months

Pros: Compact design. Initially easy to hook up once I figured out I needed to add all mac addresses to my security configuration. This unit has two, had to add both in order to make a connection to my Netgear router. Took a day to sort that out.
Cons: WPS does not work with this unit. Don't bother trying. Once manually connected it was great for the first few months streaming media to the upstairs media room. It stopped connecting yesterday and been fighting it and reading all the help files and forum posts I can. Very disappointed.
Overall Review: Loved the idea of not needing to run a long and ugly ethernet cable up the stairs but considering it again. Once in, I never have to worry about it.
Great for travel

Pros: Simple, two ports for devices. Great for powering the kids devices in the car on those really long road trips. One of these will deliver roughly a third recharge on a Kindle HD tablet or full charge on a phone. Vantec customer service was good and getting an RMA# for the defective ones was really simple. The turn around wasn't too long and haven't had a failure since.
Cons: first two out of four failed with some weird flashing light error.
Overall Review: Considering that I picked them up on one of the NewEgg deals for 9.99 each these were definitely a great deal. The odd battery failure I suspect had to do with the cable I used to charge the batteries. It was a rapid charger for a blackberry. After the second failure I stopped using that cable for the batteries.
OK for business applications

Pros: Cheap, works well for typical house hold use.
Cons: System chokes on any kind of load. P states flutter like a leaf in the wind.
Overall Review: Not sure if it's the chip or the MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 it's paired with but give this system any kind of loading and it starts throttling down to a low power state. If you need an quick system for office stuff this will fit the bill with out the need for a graphics card. Anything more demanding I would skip this and go for a full quad core and video card.
