High quality PCB. 4 RAM slots.
- Sufficient power delivery to CPU. 105A is more than enough for Ultra 9 285K. - Reasonable price compared to competitors. Nowadays, the latest ITX motherboards are way more expensive than before. - A more conventional layout has better cooling solution compatibility.
Packed with up-to-date features and able to use all the newest technology right out of the box. Good Instructions and everything needed to make the installation simple and easy.
Great performance and features. Reliable. Allowed me to run windows 11!
- The aesthetics of this case are on point. It looks awesome. - I had my DDR5 running at 8200MHz last night and ran memtest. looks solid! - the little LED code screen thing is awesome. I didn't realize it tells you the overall CPU temp while the PC is running. I love that feature. - I have a 4tb Gen5 Crucial T700 installed on this motherboard and its insanely fast. - the Gen5 NVMe heatsink is definitely keeping the T700 cool. I wasn't sure it would. - the GPU PCIe slot is reinforced and that's a huge plus considering I have a heavy 4080. - an absolutely massive amount of fan headers.
I love this board. I threw an i3 on it and am using it as a server in the garage. No issues. Updating the bios was easy, enabling XMP was simple, even configuring the case fans was a breeze.
Crazy power and upgradability.
5x m.2 drives, 3x PCIe slots, 256GB supported DDR5 and support for 9500MHz RAM! Ice/White board looks amazing
Budget friendly, works great, has some rgb it looks like
It has been about 15 years since I last built a gaming PC. I literally went over the top with this one. I justified it by telling myself it will last me about 10 years. What I like about the board: The build quality and documentation are top notch. I have built scores of Asus systems before and have to say that Asus has stacked up a lot of experience in this class of motherboard. From the packaging material to the added connectors, cables and accessories, nothing is left to chance. You get everything and more than you could ever want. While I would not encourage a first time builder to attempt this scope of a build without help (I actually built a similar configuration for a client and went out and bought my own I was so impressed and loved the performance so much). I put it in the new Antec Flux case (another masterpiece of engineering for PC build) along with an Asus ROG White water cooler a white 1200 watt Thermaltake PSU and an Asus ROG 4080 Super Video Card the Intel I9 14900 and 64GB RAM this puppy is screaming fast. I put two 6 TB Hard disks I had laying around along with five 2 TB Wester Digital Gaming SSD drives. Pretty much everything I had laying around and then some more I bought. I am still burning it in and transferring data from my main desktop (a 2 day task). Board POSTed on first power up. Not a problem with anything. I put a copy of Win 11 Pro on it and promptly updated the BIOS (need to on all computers these days, even business production units so that is no big deal). I have been running the computer day and night full out without so much as a whisper of excessive noise (fans set for quiet on BIOS). I have been testing with some middle of the road games so far no issues. It will be weeks before I get things ready and put machine in full production. (It is my main computer for work as I work at home and use it as a home server and platform for creative development and just plain on business stuff) My opinion is if you got the cash this is about the middle of the pack in Asus's high end boards. I could not see much benefit by the higher priced models. Seemed very incremental improvements for massive increase in costs. Obviously I am not an elite gamer but spending double for maybe a 3-5% improvement seemed ludicrous. I already spent more than I should have but will justify it by the fact that I put it on the New Egg credit card and got a year to pay most of it off at zero interest. Can't beat that.
There are some bad reviews out there but I've found Newegg to be top notch! I ordered my items, I got shipping information for everything, and it all ordered as expected. I had issues with a couple of components and they swapped them easy-peasy! Great job as always!!
Fully functional
Lots of PCIe drive slots (6) Using the PCIe Gen 5.0 drive slot does not impact the PCIe 1 slot speed as in Z790s Two high speed LAN connections WIFI 7 High end Audio DAC Top end Power Phase ATX form factor PCIe 5.0 spec on slot 1 to support new 5 series nVidia cards
Paired with Intel Core Ultra 5 245K and Team Group T-CREATE EXPERT 32GB for my friend. He is loving it. Since it is project zero build there is minimum cable and it looks super clean. It has lots of storage options and WIFI 7 is a plus. Thunderbolt 4 Type-C and 2.5G LAN is another feature why this board is future proof. Overall, I would recommend this board who wants a clean look and performance.
It's working good, faster than my previous 4th gen build.
It offers excellent memory support and high-speed USB ports at a reasonable price Excellent build quality Simple and modern design
-Low cost -Does the same job as a 300$ motherboard -Has many features -Support high speed memory -Stable and i can use a m2 ssd -possibility to overclock
Plenty of m.2 slots for the most Exstream gamers. The ability to have up to 5G Lan on a motherboard with today's internet speeds is amazing. I don't have the ability to get internet that fast lol. I liked how they changed the slots for the CPU power from the left side of the motherboard to the right giving more room to get the cables connected.
