Clean look and easy BIOS Keeps my 265k boosted as high as other more expensive boards
New LGA 1851 Lots of room for PCI 5 expansion Onboard BT and WiFi Tons of space for M.2 memory (gen 4 at least)
Tons of m.2 slots fast great board love it
Had drivers for my Intel Optane drive to use as a boot drive. 8 SATA connectors for my HDD's Easy to set up. More features than I really needed.
Don't need update BIOS if your install a 14th gen processor
Wow! This board is solid, heavy, feels very well built and clearly with quality in mind. The architecture is attractive, and the layout is super practical. Very clean looking too.
Somehow I bent the pins under the CPU of the 1st MB, don't know how I did that, after getting it back from from ASUS repair center, which it really didn't need because all they did is test startup 50 times & when I got it back the issue was resolved - so just a big waste of time I can't blame on any body else. So that's off my chest, the 2nd Z890-A is working perfectly. No complaints at all. It has plenty of USB's. Room for 2 HDD's, 4 2.5" SSD's & 5 M.2 SSD's. You don't need to be a gamer to get this MB, it will handle whatever you throw at it. I still haven't played with the Audio capabilities it has, or finished moving all my files over to the new PC. It's been a busy Summer. One hack I accidently discovered: I went with an Intel 265KF (no internal graphics), but was planning on getting a GPU any way. Do that and you can save a few bucks on the CPU.
I am not a gamer. After using an ASRock motherboard for many years in a business setting, the time finally came to retire and get back to working on Photoshop and video editing projects. I have been building desktop PCs since about 2010. To be sure that your newly connected PC will run correctly, make sure all components are compatible. I am running Windows 11 Home in Local Host mode. Pros -ASRock support answered by question by email within minutes -If you read ASRock's answers to users who have experienced motherboard problems, you will see that the answers are very detailed and are meant to solve the problem -Two 4-pin CPU fan connections, one 4-pin water cooler fan connection -Five 4-pin chassis fans, four of which allow you to control fan speed for 3-pin fans -Lighting can be adjusted from no lighting at all to a color or your choice -The labeling on the motherboard is very easy to read! -Fan speeds can be adjusted in UEFI and in A-Tuning desktop software -Wi-Fi M2 connection provided -6 SATA ports; four are parallel to the motherboard (sideways facing) and two are perpendicular (upward facing) -Motherboard layout is smartly designed -Motherboard lighting allows a wide range of options from no lighting at all to various color combinations -POST lights on motherboard
I bought this as a gift for my son who is in the USA, I am in the UK. This was an excellent price and delivery was super fast. I have to be honest and say I don't really know what it is but he was Very happy and said although it took a bit of time setting up he is really impressed with it. He is building a gaming computer. My son sent me the link to newegg and I logged on, set up an account, ordered the item and paid with paypal for security, everything was smooth and simple, often I encounter problem shipping to California but paying in the UK, this wasn't a problem on this occasion. I am sure he will need more components for his build and I certainly will be buying from newegg in the future. Top job.
-Has a simple and easy to use BIOS -decent price for what it's worth -labels are clear and easy to read
Just what I am looking for in a motherboard that can be used in the future
M.2 slot lga 1700 everything is great even has a c port slot which is nice idk what I would use it for
Did what I wanted. Overclocked my 12900KS and ran the 3090FE flawlessly, also ready to go for the 5090 upgrade hopefully soon.
- It worked, and mostly matched the color scheme of the build, but-
