Fast boot, great build quality, good bios.
- Solid! This mobo is heavy and sturdy. - Great RGB - Price! You won't find some of these features on more expensive boards - Sleek
pro stability quality of materials easy bios
Flash BIOS was super easy using the external button and a small flash drive.
Replaced my gigabyte b650e for this and all my drivers faults and usb issues went away. Thank you asus for making quality products, and thank newegg for working with me even though 30 days had past.
-Board revision 1.2 and above are ready for Ryzen 5 5600 and any other CPU from the Matisse to Vermeer AM4 CPU range. -Super easy install of components and configuration of BIOS -I like the minimal on-board RGB (I know you can turn it off if you want to) -Both NVMe slots have heatsinks (some boards only have the one)
Motherboard has a lot of great features with no lane sharing which is great also has the 10gb lan
My first Tuff motherboard was a X58 that last thirteen years and my second Tuff motherboard was a Z87 which still runs today after ten years. The bios is easy to navigate. I paired this board up with a i9 i12900k and it is as fast as a Hellcat. I did have some issues with an internet connection while loading Windows but I did some research and got it taken care of. Hopefully I can have the same luck with this Z790 as I have with the other Tuff motherboards. Since I have a rare and unique Cooler Master Nvidia case, I did a retro fit with this motherboard and I think it turned out fine.
- Sturdy, quality construction - Built with overclocking in mind - Large heat sink (probably overkill) for PCIE gen 5 M.2 SSD's
Bios flashed with updated software to support 7800x3d. Worked perfectly with zero issues to post and install windows.
Worked well out of the box. I like the tab that lets you pop out your video card without damage, the "PCIe EZ-Latch Plus." Setup was easy.
Recognized and played well with a Ryzen 5 8600G CPU right out of the box. Updated BIOS to newest version with zero issues. Board has everything you need without all the fluff. I guess that makes it a budget board, but it's exactly what I was looking for. Features vs. price makes this a great value.
Installed CPU and memory and am up and running with no problems.

Came with UEFI and Secure Boot enabled, which was a pleasant surprise. The BIOS was only a few months old so I haven't even bothered to consider updating. Everything worked first time as expected
This review is for the MSI Review Rebate Program. This motherboard was very easy to install. I also felt I was getting good value for the features I required at this price.
Has everything I wanted/needed for this upgrade. Using the included heatsinks, NVMe drives are running about 5 degrees C lower than on old board using its heat sinks.
All's good so far A+++
Very easy to install Instructions clean and understandable
- No Shared GPU PCIE Lanes - Smart Layout - Easy to use BIOS
Easy set up. No issues. I didn't use the Gen5 SSD at the moment and only use Gen4 SSD's. Hopefully in the near future there will be more options better suited for it to use alongside different manufacturer sales. Yes, it's all about the costs. But it's there when wanted as time goes by.
