In Network Attached Storage (NAS)

Excellent storage device. I back up nightly all the hard drives in three computers to this device. The initial backup for each computer is slow but this is normal considering that you are backing up the entire drive across the network. After the initial backup, it becomes a fast process. Highly recommend this product as both a backup device and source of additional storage. Note there is two 6T drives so the data is on both drives so if one drive does fail you do not lose your back because you have it on the other 6T drive.

Straightforward rack install. Took about an hour with the optional brackets (you need those; they are not optional). First time using Synology. It is even better than I expected. The machine is largely quiet (see cons). I got Docker working relatively quickly and was able to host containers that I could easily access from another machine w/o issue.

Already transferred my backups from my older NAS, now I can repartition my old NAS so that it sees the additional drive space that I added to it long ago, that it never saw, nor was my old NAS even capable of partition expansion.

Its very nice to have, I'm using it as just a media drive and it hasn't given me any problems. I have it setup plugged straight into my router, so i can access it from any device on my network. I had no problem with either of the app on my android phone or tablet.
