This was supper easy to set up!!

this is my 1st experience with ASUSTOR NAS but wonderful experience with many features: best part is HDMI port where i can directly stream from NAS from browser and also i can run Linux directly from NAS, And many other features.

-Stylish design -easy to access hard drives (no screws) -dual 2.5Gb ethernet ports -hard drives transfer at up to 300MB/s -NVMe slots -easy setup -RAM can be upgraded -HDMI port

DDR5 gives on-die error correction Extra bays give cache options Compatible RAM upgrades TrueNAS compatibility

Unit comes with 8 mb of RAM. Upgrading to 32 was easy and allowed use of the more advanced QTS Hero software.

Excellent solid hardware (2.5GB LAN, M.2 Storage for cashing, I/O Ports) at a great price. Installation of hardware (drives, etc.) done well. UGREEN NAS app make it simple and quick to get the unit up and running.

Very easy to setup and use. I am using this as a place to backup critical data (about 600 MB and growing) and to stream media in my home (about 1.8 TB and growing). Updating my backups or media to stream is as easy as copying the files where they need to go.

Affordable. And works very well

Easy to upgrade memory took sodimm ddr4 3200 16 gig. Qnap went to soldered on memory on new machines suppossedly due to a ram shortage so now you can not upgrade their ram so this was a HUGE no no for me. I was a Qnap lover, but a friend has a older version of this and I thought i'd give em a try. Software looks almost identical to a Qnap so was easy for me to get in and go. 2x2.5 gb networking. it does transfer very quickly. 4X Gen 3 m.2 (NOTE THESE GET HOT). I used heat sinks for all 4 and have had zero problems. It's worth a few bucks to toss heat sinks on em. if your only going to cache boost with em get small cheapies they run much cooler. Took a few tries to get the setup I wanted with my raid and SSD caching. This was a neck and neck with Qnap ts464. its cheaper and does the same stuff, but you can upgrade the ram. I have both this and the Qnap ts464 this is my favorite. This thing for Plex is a beast! transcodes multiple streams like a champ.

- Rackmount - Minimal dept (works with shallow racks) - Good cooling - Possibility of 2 PSU - Possibility of extra disks units *. - SSH is available for advanced system admin**. *Read well on Synology website if you are planning to use it. ** DSM is NOT a regular linux release, so make SURE you know what you are doing.
