I use it as a server between 7 computers, it works very fast, I store all my data and image backups on it. Of course, I keep it backed up to another drive just in case this Link Station were to fail. Also the Link Station doesn't take up much space on the desk either. Looks good too and silent. Has a light on it to let you know if it's on or off, which doesn't blind you like some products. You can schedule it to run or turn off whenever you would like. Comes with a 2TB hard drive too. For some more storage you can plug a usb drive into it. I don't know how I got through all these years with out one! I can't say anything about the support, because I haven't had to use it.

The pros of this device are its solidly built, easy to setup and easy to modify. The case is tool less for mounting the drives and takes only a minute or two per drive once you get the rhythm down. There are good documents and many YouTube videos documenting how to install, modify and use the included software.

This QNAP runs quickly and quietly. The VM is Microsoft Server 2019, and it is very fast. I have it configured to boot off of a RAID-1 SSD drive array, and the AMD Ryzen processor is very fast. Adding RAM and the SSD drives was EASY. Very nice design on the case, easy access 3 screws and that was it. I added five 16-TB drives in RAID-5, and it is used as a Veeam Offsite Repository target server.
