Latest refresh (3rd gen?) of the Corsair CXM power supply line, redesigned case (beveled edge, updated branding.) Why you buy this rather than the cheapest 650: Includes modern standby support. Semi-modular really does clean up the case. (I replaced an older non-modular). Long cables. (The case am using in is bottom mount, fan facing up which often requres require longer cables, see photo.) Everything reaches fine. Plenty of modular cables included. I think its nicer looking than the last version. Great for a "blacked out" build. Large, quiet "rifle bearing" fan, which is an upgraded version of the sleeve bearing in the earlier model, apparently. Theoretically last a bit longer. 5 year warranty. Reliable brand. 650w is a sweet spot power wise, enough headroom for a decent video card without overkill. 80+ Bronze indicates good power efficiency balanced with value.

Liked all the cables that came with the unit, very flexible and easy to work with. Made cable management a breeze. Plenty of power.

- Silent "Zero" Fan mode turns off the fan at low loads making for a nice quiet experience

A+ in psu tier list

--- Rated for 1,000 watts --- in a very compact package --- For my Use-Case --- has FOUR (!) Graphics Card, 8-Pin PCIE Connectors! (A Dream, as I have a Sapphire Pulse 7900XTX, with Three 8-Pin PCIE Connectors ---> I previously used a 750 Watt Corsair SFX Platinum Power Supply, that only had Two GPU PCIE Connectors). ---> This may not be needed with Nvidia "High End" Newer Graphics Cards, but also there appears to be a Nice 16 pin Connector right to the Graphics card to Power Supply as well. *** literally when gaming, even with the 7900XTX GPU using 350+ Watts (and my 12700k only using average 40-50 watts round-abouts) -- the fan has not even turned on yet.

Everything about this PSU is greatsilent, reliable, fully modular, and ATX 3.1 ready. Cables are quality and install was super easy. One of the best Gold-rated PSUs in this price range.

- 80 PLUS Gold - Cybenetics Platinum Rated efficiency and A sound! - 10 YEAR WARRANTY - ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 ready/compatible - robust and flexible quality cables - great offerings of multiple PSU Wattages

This PSU is super quiet, cybernetics knocked it out of the park as well as AsRock!

The most obvious PRO is the connectors feeding out of the back side of the PSU. This makes cable management so much easier for most use cases. Unfortunately it won't do me any good in my main rig because it's a Core P3 but it fit's great in my streaming rig. At 160mm long and 150mm wide it's small enough for a large majority of builds. Solid construction and quality components as always with Corsair No real noise at low to medium power draw, if you have any fans at all you should never here this unit. I really like the new micro connectors. Compared to these the old connectors seem big and clunky. Plenty of stable power for today's mid and upper-mid-range systems An included 12 pin for NVidia's nutty new graphics card connection. Just my opinion NVidia, sorry. Nice 120mm fan w/ fluid dynamic bearing. Very stable power. My own way of checking this due to not having an expensive testing rig is to keep track of the power delivery under various loads. As usual with Corsair all of the rails, 3.3v 5v and 12 volt all stay well within specs on my unit.

- Adjustable, automatic or pre-set fan / noise level - Completely modular, no more cables in the case than absolutely necessart - Non-wrapped cables w/ adjustable bundle-clips - vastly superior for cable management - Dead silent when PC isn't using much power - Highly compatible with old and new GPU power needs - Basically nobody beats the (modern) quality of Japanese capacitors. Though they had a storied past in the early 2000s, the great "Capacitor plague" did conclude with an overall improvement in electrolytes.

Haven't heard the fan yet!

nice, quiet and stable psu, comes with modern cables and a nice carrying case

Confidence in rock solid performance

Upgraded a 650 to 850 for new GPU, works great and all cables are well built and ran neatly.

Runs well and has the plugs you need to do lost anything

Side connectors of course.

Worked perfectly out of the box. This unit has a heavy, quality feel to it. 1000 watts is more than enough to run most gaming rigs. I installed it into a large case, and the cables had more than enough length to get the job done, and because of the modular nature of the power supply, you could avoid having unnecessary cables making a mess of things. Obviously, that helped with cable management which for some people is really important. The modular cable plugs fit very well and clicked crisply into place The fact that it has a 10-year limited warranty is great, and if you get it from newegg, you will always have a receipt! Its priced very attractively for a 80 Plus Platinum Certified power supply. power supply. Lastly, the fan noise is very reasonable and was drowned out by all the case fans I had installed. As mentioned in other reviews, it has the ability to run without a fan under low-load. Great if you are just doing office tasks.

Cheap, works good.

- secure packaging - plenty of cables for everything you'll need
