- Easy setup - DSM is great and intuitive - Good value compared to more expensive 4+ bay options - Powerful enough for Plex and online photo archive
Exactly what I am looking for. Finally to build my own cloud storage.
Works as anticipated. It's an unmanaged switch, how hard can it be to use.
Does everything it is advertised to do. Software is handy for testing the backup ability and tells you right on screen how long it can back up for, and the applied load. Plenty of plugs in the back. Separated for power backup on one side, and only surge protection on the other.
Awesome NAS for transcoding!! And storage no issues at all just what I needed.
- Fast - Simple - Work A1
Works great. Has everything I was looking for: Fanless, 802.1p QoS prioritization. 10gbps switching capacity, limited lifetime warranty, steel case, 2k MAC address table, on-port LEDs, 9K Jumbo Frame, & 128KB buffer memory
cost efficient server that performs. x86 is almost at its scaling limit with 5nm process unmatched 5ghz per core performance optimal for running cryptocurrency validators great ipmi
Cheap, easy, got the job done with simple setup
Had a APC ups NS1080 protected me from serious electrical faults in Bellingham WA, Covington, WA, Seattle, WA and in Polson, MT. From 2016 to 2021. Did a perfect job through brown outs, spikes, lighting storms and blackouts. Just got a bigger one. BX1500. You don't have this your computer system could be in some serious jeopardy. I lost an Itel i7 3770k system (fresh built to a brown out) The CPU/Motherboard, PSU.. . gone
- Super easy to upgrade from a smaller Diskstation - Easy to add more capacity
Easy to setup and configure
When from 256Mb/s to 975Mb/s. No programming required. Plug and play. Very happy for the price
Debian file server transfer to my intel ssd at ~95MB/s ping speeds <1ms fits nicely in many places with power on rear side.
The product is improved from my prior model without much difference in price. I like that the box is just a little bit smaller and better ventilated.
- Arrived well-before suggested delivery date. - Well-packaged to prevent any damage. - Set-up was easy with minimal, but very good instructions. - It has been in use for almost two weeks, and there have been no electrical incidents where the backup needed to turn on, so . . . will need to wait to comment on reliability. - Connected to the Back-UPS 1500 are an iMac with two ext HDD's, a Mac mini M2 Pro w/ 4TB of SSD, a studio monitor, and an OWC mini stack STX with a 4 TB HDD and 4 TB of SSD.
-Seems to last. -I can run my computer (with my Yeti and monitor) off of it for about 30 minutes, in the event of a blackout. More than I imagined, I just wanted something to last 5 minutes so that I can safely shut my computer down. -Easy to understand what everything means after reading the manual, such as if its green, blinking yellow, and other stuff.
I'm not going to write a pros/cons, just the facts in this category. This is a VERY bare-bones 4U case. There are no reward points here for style. There are no removable/hot-swap trays, there is an old commitment to 5.25" bays you can convert with an IcyDock or similar; the tray layout does not provide for any of the newer methods for routing or cable management, and the spacing is such that you are not going to put any deep mount device in here. While there are numerous 3.5" bays, you really will want to use less than 1/2 of them for both heat and performance concerns. The case, however, is one of the cheaper 4U cases, and if you are looking for a baseline for a simple purpose, like a virtualization header, a Windows server, a firewall or similar, this case is certainly a decent choice. I have had no problems using this as a case for my firewall and VPN software layouts, as well as Windows servers in the past, due to pass-through problems of specific USB security keys that did not like VMWare or XCP's pass-through I was forced to keep on their own.
Made in Vietnam with a Chinese power supply. The box runs cool and has a power led and a link led for each port. They shine through a 1 mm hole and are fairly visible. The switch performs very well. The says it supports 16K jumbo frames.
