Be sure to download the driver from the Wavlink site before you install this unit. I replaced an older 2.4GHz adapter and found out that Windows did not recognize this new Wavlink adapter. I put the old adapter back in, went to Wavlink, downloaded the driver for this model and the rest was super easy. This is a unit in my wife's office upstairs and the connection speed is ten times faster than the old adapter and she is happy......so I am happy.
