I've been building computers for over 30 years, beginning with 286 processors. Over that period you get to know manufacturers pretty well. I now only use Asus, MSI, and EVGA boards. This board is more than sufficient for gamers when paired with high end components. For this build I used an Intel i7 11th gen processor with UHD750 graphics built in, 32 gig of ballistic 3200 ram, and Hynix NVMe M.2 500gig storage, along with a 500 gig HHD. Case is an Antec DP 502 Flux. 650 watt modular power. Overclocking is a breeze with this board. The supplied cooling fan along with 5 case fans= no over heating. I used a separate bluetooth/WiFi Adapter. The customer will want a Nvidia RTX when he can afford one (not available and overpriced at this time.)

This ASUS motherboard is a good quality replacement for Intel 8th gen cpu. It works fine with AMD or Nvidia video cards. Sound is HD only from HDMI video port on a monitor with speakers. External speakers may work with sound card on PCI-e 1x slot. This may be a problem for a gamer working with an external soundbar.

Wanted a newer board that was second iteration of MB's for the 13th Gen Intel and not first time use for the 14th. So I can't speak to the 14th Gen. -Needed multiple USB Gen 3.2 (check) -Needed USB C that worked when I plugged something in(check) -Got to use previous M.2 SSD's from previous upgrades because of all the slots. -Can't say enough about the quick release/clamp for the M.2 slots. This should be on every board going forward...It just works and I hope over time it continues to just work.

I've always bought PCs from Dell, not ever thinking to build my own. My son however, has gotten into gaming and wanted to build his own PC. We did a lot of research and ended up buying this latest MSI MGP Z490 Gaming Edge motherboard. * The board is heavy, sturdy, unlike anything I've every seen before. * I like how it has heatsinks in 3 different areas. * The M.2 slots are convenient and superfast, no longer need SATA drives. * I appreciated that everything was clearly labeled, and the instruction manual was well written. This truly helped when connecting all the wiring for the fans, front panel buttons, etc. * Installing in case, and connecting all components was super easy. * Been running like a champ the last two weeks, without issues. We've paired this with a WD SN750 M.2 drive, EVGA 750W power supply, intel i7-10700, Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32GB and a Gigabyte GTX 1660 Super.

Easy set up. No issues. I didn't use the Gen5 SSD at the moment and only use Gen4 SSD's. Hopefully in the near future there will be more options better suited for it to use alongside different manufacturer sales. Yes, it's all about the costs. But it's there when wanted as time goes by.

I love this board. I threw an i3 on it and am using it as a server in the garage. No issues. Updating the bios was easy, enabling XMP was simple, even configuring the case fans was a breeze.
