I ordered two of these switches, I placed one in my home office, and the other in the wiring closet. The two switches are connected together and immediately established a gigabit connection. There are three devices in my network with Broadcom gigabit NICs. All three established gigabit connections immediately without restarting. I used a HP Procurve 1400 switch as a performance baseline, and these switches matched the speed of the Procurve. Several other devices are only 100Mbit, and they all operate together with no issues.
