-Great size at 128gb -USB 3.1 speed -Compact -Retractable
+ I feel like I'm in a 50/50 world of half USB-A and half USB-C devices, so this double-ended drive takes away some worries about compatibility. + It's been in my pocket with keys for a week, and the caps have stayed on.
It was free
The TEAM X1 MAX DRIVE 256GB USB 3.2 Gen2 x 1 can be used to backup pictures from a phone. Plug drive into phone, create a new folder if needed and select photos. On a Pixel 6a I selected 3.7GB of photos, and the download was under a minute. That is fast for me, but less than the 1000M/s advertised rate. If my math is correct my rate was 637.9MB/s. A great flash drive!
Good and Fast
* Solid metal case * Robust built in keyring hole * compact, no wider than the USB port * no extra pieces or junk to break * outstanding price!
Very fast drive for a USB stick. Great Price too. I wrote 419 GB of movies to the drive in about 15 minutes. Buy it.
- Over a hundred gigs of storage for an excellent price. - The slide mechanism isn't overly stiff. - Worked without a fuss for my use case (moving large amounts of drivers and utilities from one PC to another).
Sturdy metal feel, formatted very quickly, like everything about it.
as far as prices and size goes, the cheapest price for its size but id buy these over western digital any day of the week.....
I needed a thumb drive to do a Windows 10 install on my niece's laptop. She didn't want to spend a lot of money, but I wanted a drive I could trust to work with any machine on any platform (I was also thinking ahead in that when the install was done she could have a reliable drive with plenty of room for her needs). This Samsung checked all of the boxes. The price was excellent for its size, brand and capacity. In addition to being fast, it has a solid metal case with no moving parts to fail (like some brand name thumb drives I've had). It's size keeps it from blocking access to closely spaced USB ports. The case is beautifully designed in metal, with a small wedge shape at the end that makes it easy to grasp when you want to pull it out of the port. The case also has a small lanyard loop machined into the end, which I tied a length of nylon cord onto. If you've ever lost one of this small drives with all of your data on it (don't ask me how I know) you'll appreciate this feature.
