Can someone help me discover some old?

I have got an old compaq presario 1235 and I wanted to install windows 98 on it but I can’t find a tutorial on how to do it (and I surched multiple times to conform that I wasn’t missing anything so don’t try to just leave a link to a video and expect this to be done). Can someone help? (I can boot from a cd/dvd and I have one that should be big enough for making a boot able cd/dvd)

It’s pretty hard honestly — the biggest issue is finding a proper Windows 98 bootable CD in the first place.

Yes Win98 installs are old-school boot from a Win98 SE boot CD use FDISK to create a FAT32 partition, format it, then run SETUP from the CD.The Presario 1235 works fine with Win98 just be sure to grab chipset/video drivers after install

I have a cd and I have a disk drive in my computer that I can use to write data on the cd and I tried already but I couldn’t get the data on the disk. And I don’t know how to get a certain file that I need also.

Hey @FarmCrafter1023 we know you love video tutorials! So if you’re looking for free help, we recommend checking out Phil’s Computer Lab on YouTube as he has full video tutorials on loading Windows 98.

For a forum specializing in this type of stuff, VOGONS is the website! Good luck!

Thanks! I’ll check it out tonight (hopefully) and I’ll let you know if it helps.
