I’ve been wanting a gaming PC for sometime now and I finally have the money for it between 1200 and $1400. I don’t know where to start to look for a PC that will run games like DayZ, Project Zomboid and Bodycam clean I just don’t know where to start since my friend left to the military and I haven’t been able to speak to you. Any tips will be appreciated?
Here are a few PCs in your price range with the specs you’re looking for. Use these as a baseline and compare similar builds.
I wouldn’t go Intel right now—the upgrade path hasn’t been great the last few generations. Stick with AMD, specifically AM5. It’s the current platform and gives you room to upgrade later. AM5 CPU’s are 7000 or 9000 series processors NOT 5000
For GPU, aim for 16GB VRAM. 8GB cards are already starting to struggle and won’t age well.
32GB RAM is ideal, but you can get away with 16GB for now—it’s the easiest thing to upgrade later.
I don’t know these exact brands, but the specs look solid for the price. Focus on the components more than the name.
That’s a good budget for a gaming PC. @Viraco has posted a few good ones. What do you think? 16Gb of VRAM is a great baseline
Here’s a part list for under $1400 if you like to build it yourself
I noticed that it didn’t have Windows 11 operating system, is that something I need or I don’t have to worry about that? I’ve been told that I’ll need windows 11 before but idk
It’s save to assume all modern computers have windows 11. whether they list it or not
