I’m newer to PC building so I wanted to know if my parts should be compatible. I got a PC from my older brother who went to college and I am trying to buy a new GPU since he had been using the 1050 ti and decided on a 5060 ti and was wondering if that is compatible with all my other parts. Also I do plan on upgrading the CPU shortly. Note: I have all other parts listed except the GPU.
generally the 5060ti Is not a cost effective GPU. You could buy a 9060xt 16gig and expect pretty much the same performance. Unless your sold on Nvidia you could save yourself $80.
Either gpu should work for you though.
Alright, thanks man.
yes, the 5060Ti isn’t as cost effective, but it all depends on your goal and preference. The 9060xt is slightly more bang for buck, but if you’re set on team ‘green’, at least don’t pay more than MSRP. While the GPU ‘war’ is debatable, if you’re really upgrading this, while we all may want to stay with Win10, knowingly buying Win10, even if you pay for ESU for 1 year, isn’t sustainable if you’re looking for something stable that will last you several years. If you don’t like what you see visually or functionally - get 11, and DL powertoys and windhawk and make 11 what you want it too.
Are you paying for that windows license? If you are, it is transferable via email link from the old PC.
I do suggest looking into the AM5 platform so you have upgrade room.
What is your budget?
I got 11 earlier this week, I just hadn’t updated part picker.
Are you talking about the CPU?
Yes, and motherboard and ram
Ditch the 470X Motherboard! It only supports PCIE 3.0 While a 5.0 GPU is compatible with a 3.0 slot, its performance may not reach its full potential due to the motherboard’s slower interface, and the CPU can also be a bottleneck You also could run out of VRAM. While the 3600 is great chip I’d try to go to a AM5 setup to future proof. The HD you picked is good but over priced!
Here a 9600X with 9060XT 16GB build list that’s around the same price as the list you posted
Thanks, just trying to take things one step at a time especially since I have a budget I’m trying to follow.
What is your budget?
It’s not so much as a budget but as in I legally can’t have a job so I keep that as an area to work towards and I do general things like reselling and physical labor. I generally try to keep it at $400-$600.
No, for the whole PC project. Like 1000?
I don’t really have one, I just try to keep components at a reasonable price.
