I am having a really hard time deciding on which pc I should build so I’m asking for help. I currently have $840, I’m sooo broke.

the 4080 is to powerfull for either of those builds and may cause bottlenecking. the speed of the ram is good but you may want a bit tighter timming. also do you need 64bg? wont help for gamming 32 would be more than ok and save $100. If your on a bit of a budget 1tb m.2 would get you going and you could always add another later. still that depends on what your usage will be with the computer I guess. at this point if you want to stick with Nvidia, you might as well buy a 5000 series. 4000’s are generaly over priced now. unless tou find a hell of a deal.

Well. The ram is terrible. Either get 2x32 or go for 2x16. Look for lower timings, cl38 is meh. Cl30 is good.

As for GPU, the 5000 series is generally cheaper / more available in stock on newegg.

What are your goals with this PC? 1440p? High refresh rate? What games are you playing? Are you streaming?

Also buy case fan packs and not individual if you can, they’re generally cheaper.

Try to purchase matx motherboards as you can save a lot of money. Go with a smaller case, unless you absolutely want those expensive motherboards to utilize all their features.

The 9600x is a very nice cheap CPU if you’re not streaming. otherwise the 9800x3d or 7800x3d is best choice for 1080p gaming or CPU intensive / competitive.

I plan to play 1440p at 170 hz on all ultra and high settings. I also plan to stream and video edit in the future.
