Can this drive work with Windows 7 Premium?

Yes, it does. Though if you are connecting via USB2, then ejecting the drive wont stop the disk from spinning inside of it. It will only stop spinning if you pull the chord out or shutdown the computer.

What is the cache size on the 5TB drive? I'm assuming all sizes are 5400rpm so I don't see how these are any better for gaming over regular portable WDs

8MB, and it is a 5400RPM 2.5" HDD. Connecting via USB, it's pretty much as slow as you can get, but it works, and the price is good when the 5TB is on sale for under $100.
