The IBM® System Storage™ DS3000 series now offers a 2 TB/ 7,200 rpm SATA disk drive option (feature number 5423, part number/SEO 49Y1940). This 3.5-inch drive offers dual ports, hot-swap capability, and can be intermixed with other disk drives within the DS3000 series.
This new option doubles the physical storage capacity of a single DS3000 enclosure to 24 TB. DS3000 configurations can now scale up to 96 TB of physical storage capacity. With this new option, the DS3000 series offers even a wider choice of disk drives to help satisfy your complete range of data storage requirements.
