ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14AMD is continuing its supercharged march towards gaming dominance with its new Ryzen 4000-powered laptops. The new mobile processors, based on the company’s 7nm Zen 2 architecture, have been getting raves reviews so far from the world of PC hardware experts, and are full of potential for gamers and content creators alike.

The thin and light Asus Zephyrus G14 was one of the first review units sent out, and it seems to be more than capable of beating the performance of Intel-based laptops twice the weight, at least according to this Forbes review. Paired with Nvidia’s new GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q mobile graphics, you have a VR-capable machine that slips into your backpack when you need to hit the streets.

The Verge focused on Acer’s non-gaming laptop lineup, which will include the new Ryzen 4000U series chips meant for ultraportable laptops. Though these units aren’t built to game (and don’t have any RGB lighting), they’re no slouches. Starting at just under $600, they’re economical options for everyday computing, light gaming, and streaming Netflix in bed when you’re supposed to be being productive. The Verge also reviewed the Asus Zephyrus G14 and, well, to say they were impressed would be an understatement.

Things are looking golden for AMD’s new Ryzen 4000 mobile processors and their new 7nm architecture, and Intel has some serious competition on both price and performance. We’ve rounded up some more reviews for you below, and when all of these laptops for purchase are available you’ll be able to find them on Newegg’s AMD laptop page. Don’t dally, though, these things will probably sell like hotcakes. Hotcakes you can run Doom Eternal on.
