With ASUS AX86U and AX82U WiFi 6 gaming routers, games come first

By September 16, 2020No Comments

The WiFi 6 age is here, and if you aren’t taking advantage of it already, you’re really missing out. Here’s a look at two of the newest and most advanced gaming-focused routers from ASUS, the AX86U and the AX82U. The 86U router features an impressive 1.8 GHz CPU and a full 1 Gig of RAM, along with features designed to help deliver peak wired and wireless performance. The 82U offers slightly different specs and adds some stylish RGB lighting controllable via the ASUS router app.

The WiFi 6 standard is faster, more energy efficient, and has a longer range – but where it really excels is in lowering the latency in crowded WiFi networks. So WiFi 6-enabled routers can make browsing the web on your phone or laptop faster and easier, and they can also significantly improve your experience when gaming, whether you’re on a PC or a console.
