Intel SSD 760p Series
Available in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB capacities
Accelerate Your PC Performance

A great choice for power users. The Intel SSD 760p series features a high-speed PCIe Gen3x4 NVMe interface and leverages advanced Intel 3D NAND technology, delivering twice the capacity and twice the PCIe performance than its previous generation – the Intel SSD 600p series. Thanks to the exclusive low power modes, it reduces power consumption by up to 50% 1 compared with the Intel SSD 600p series. Additionally, it uses AES 256-bit full disk encryption for worry-free data security. Its ultra-thin M.2 profile allows for seamless integration into a wide range of devices from desktops to slim laptops.

Features and Benefits
Performance to Handle Multiple Tasks

The SSD 760p is designed to effortlessly manage demanding consumer client applications and easily handle intense multi-tasking. The SSD 760p accelerates platform performance with sequential reads of up to 3,230 megabytes, sequential writes of up to 1625 megabytes per second (MB/s), and random read and write input/output operations per second (IOPS) of up to 340K and 275K, respectively2. The SSD 760p enables PC users to experience enhanced efficiency with applications they care about, and up to 6x better performance2 than SATA SSDs.

3D NAND Delivers Up to 2TB Capacity

The SSD 760p is part of the Intel 3D NAND SSD family of products. Built on Intel 3d NAND technology, these SSDs are designed to transform the economics of storage. The SSD 760p offers capacity points up to 1TB on single-side M.2, and up to 2TB on double-sided M.2, enabling system designers the flexibility to design for thin/light systems or to provide space for other components.

The combination of Intel 3D NAND technology and PCIe enables Intel SSDs to push limits of performance and value.

Performance at Lower Power

The SSD 760p provides extended battery life through low power modes. It reduces idle consumption from watts to milliwatts. When coupled with an 8th generation Intel Core processor-based platform, the advanced power mode settings reduce active and idle power consumption by up to 50% versus the prior generation device(SSD 600p series)1.

Quality and Reliability You Can Trust

The high-quality SSD 760p supports AES 256-bit self-encryption to provide protection of critical data stored on the device.

Boots fast.

Pros: I use this as a boot drive. I do not imagine myself needing to boot any faster. Pure convenience now. That is enough to satisfy me in the knowledge that I made the right choice, going for the cheaper option compared to the samsung pros

Cons: none so far

For casual users only

Pros: Low power consumption

Cons: Latency. Not for professional use.
TLC is not durable as MLC. TLC has traditionally been used in thumb drives.
For anything but casual users, I’d recommend the Samsung 970 (prices have come down)

Overall Review: The trade off with low power consumption means more latency over traditional NVMe drives

Great SSD

Pros: Super fast, competitive priced.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: I usually go with WD or Samsung for my SSDs due to their high performance and capacity compared to price, but this came up on my recent search and seemed like a good competitor. I was not disappointed.

Great Value, compatible with VROC

Pros: Great price, fast, and compatible with Intel VROC on ASUS WS C411 PRO/SE. 4 Intel 760P 512GB on ASUS Hyper M.2X16 yields Writes at 6.1 GB/s and Reads at 11.2 GB/s. I was surprised at the processor load VROC puts on W-2135 Xeon (~11% for ATTO Benchmark v3.05).

Cons: Could be faster top to bottom, but well worth the money.

Overall Review: I had considered another M.2 for VROC which would have been faster (and more expensive), but chose this 760P for assured compatibility.

Intel's New Benchmark Consumer M.2 NVMe SSD

Pros: This review is for the 512GB version of the Intel 760p M.2 2280 NVMe SSD.

* Blazingly fast.
* MSRP of under $200 USD and at the time of this review, Newegg's "Street Price" was UNDER MSRP.
* Best M.2 2280 NVMe price/performance ratio at the time of this review for the Intel 760p.
* CrystalDiskMark benched (at 54% of storage used under Windows 10 Pro x64)
— 3,047MB/s (Yes, 3GB/s) sequential read.
— 765MB/s sequential write. (This is less than half the specifications, but it might be due to my system configuration).

Bench system was an Intel i7-7700K on a Gigabyte Z170XP-SLI-CF running BIOS version F22a.

Cons: * Initial stock is hard to find for the 512GB version (Initial Low Availability).
* Does not make me coffee in the morning.
* I still lose in Fortnite and PUBG.

Overall Review: Great competitor to the Samsung line of NVMe M.2 drives.

For sure a WINNER

Pros: Put this in place of a Corsair MP500 240GB SSD, I cloned the Corsair M.2 to a regular SSD and then installed the Intel M.2 512GB. Using Crystal Disk, the read/write on the Corsair SSD was 2706/987 and ATTO was 2174/2124 for 256kb. With the Intel M.2, Crystal Disk was 1638/1600 and ATTO was 1631/1619 for 256kb. The Corsair drive was a little faster according to the numbers but I could not tell the difference using real life, real time computer functions. Therefore for a lower price and 5yr warranty, I would say the Intel M.2 is the better one. (The Corsair drive has 480 GB of storage and costs more).

Cons: None

Overall Review: I tested the read and write functionality of the Intel M.2 using the Full Diagnostics Scan (takes an hour) from the Intel SSD Toolbox. Make sure and go to Computer Management then to Disk Management to set up the M.2 as a simple volume so Acronis can recognize it. I also have a double video card fan blowing upward on a video card and part of the air hits the M.2. It is still warm but at least you can keep your finger on it.
