Per specification on that cooler.. no, it won't fit. But, I'm also curious abut the fit of the aio cooler i just bought. New gen, new everything, so most likely a new bracket. So, hopefully, we might be able to eventually at least buy a 1200 bracket/backplate. No idea.

Are the only compatible memory types those specifically labeled DDR4-2933?

Read your MB specifications.....I got a Rog Z490 G and it will support up to 2133-4600. for example if you buy corsair Vengeance 3200mhz the mother board will most likely automatically down clock the ram to 2933......then you would have to change the the setting manually to get 3200. so if you have a good Z-490 board.....you should have alot of room to play with as far as ram speeds but it is all dependent on your MB specifications.

yes, i do with a push and pull noctua NH-U12Ssetup and works perfect. i OC to 5 ghz all the time on all cores no problem.

I was wondering which would be the better cpu for a new builder. This (the i7-10700k) or the i9-9900k? I have the option to purchase either style of mobo so that won't be an issue. Planning on pairing the cpu with a RTX 2080ti and haven't decided on an AIO or Noctua style heatsink.

technically, the i9-9900k is a lower clocked version of the i7-10700k, that's why it's a big deal. the I7-10700k has a higher overall thermal watt output (meaning hotter), but it actually has better TDP (heat to power) ratio efficiency per the same number of cores and threads so... you'll have an easier time overclocking it. The i9-9900k is expected to average at the 4.9GHZ clock oc, but good ones can go to 5.2 but from what I can tell that's EXTREEMLY RARE. The average clock u oc from what I gather with the i7-10700k is around 5.1ghz and up to 5.3 and we're talking what both may be capable of maintaining while staying stable. I suggest that even though the i9-9900k is cheaper right now, you actually get better performance per dollar with the new i7-10700k. same cores, threads, but higher clocks possible and higher average stable clocks when overclocking for less then I think like $50 difference?
