Intel Pentium G4560 Dual-Core, Four-Thread Processor
Performance on par with Intel Core i3, with typical Pentium-class price.
Based on 14nm Kaby Lake (7th generation) architecture, the Intel Pentium G4560 is a great choice for value-conscious users looking to build PCs for online gaming, mainstream home and office uses. The Pentium G4560 incorporates Hyper-Threading technology, which was previously reserved for i3 series and above, delivering impressive parallel performance so you multitask efficiently and smoothly. It supports Intel Virtualization Technology (VT-x) technology, Intel AES New Instructions, and more. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 610 is great for everyday applications like browsing visually stunning webpages, streaming 4K Ultra HD video, and editing photos.
Enjoy Improved Computing Performance
Based on Kaby Lake architecture and with 14nm manufacturing process, Hyper-Threading technology, 3MB Cache and Intel HD Graphics 610, the latest Intel Pentium processors give your platform the computing and visual power you’ve wanted. You can now multitask - i.e., watch movies/games and Skype at the same time and still have power for your other activities.
Security You Can Trust
Protection capabilities in the Intel Pentium processors are built from the ground up to give you a device you can trust. Every time you start it up, secure boot with Intel Platform Trust Technology helps keep your device safe, blocking dangerous programs, so only trusted software is launched. You get peace of mind with a more secure operating environment. Execute Disable Bit defends against ever-elusive malware, reducing your exposure to viruses and malicious code attacks. It works behind the scenes, so you don’t have to think about it, and it shuts down malicious code before it can take root.
It’s easy to secure all your data with Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA) new instructions built into the processor. You get strong security without compromising performance or impacting your experience.
Pros: -Excellent Dual Core -Great performance for its price -Hyperthreading!
Cons: -Well its a dual core is the really only draw back, but you probably know that buying it right? -Its on the lower end so its cache its lower :/
Overall Review: I purchased 3 of these for some budget systems with the idea of both using the dual core and its integrated chip for casual gaming. Keep in mind these are for 3 systems for my own children so they don't need 60+fps at 4k, they are gonna have to earn that later in life. Can play HotS (medium settings for looks and fps~40 // Low gets you 60fps), Plays 2D games no problem (terraria, fallout, starbound, PvZ, Diablo 2), games like LoL, Overwatch, TF2, Diablo 3, Hearthstone, all play ~40fps on medium settings like HotS. What makes it a great CPU along with the 4560 or 4620 is if you pair these with anything upwards of a Geforce 450 the performance goes way up on any and all games. Example 450 GTS lets these CPU's (4560-4600-4620 I have all 3) play the above mentioned games on pretty much high settings. (all at 720p or 1080p with above 40fps in either case). If you were to pair these with a 1050 and given its cheap price , games like Fallout 4, Battlefield 1, and DOOM all become playable at an extreme budget level cost. System wise, Windows 10 plays very nice with the CPU. Super fast and snappy, web browsing is of course fast, the MAJOR downside you will see with these CPU's is due to it being dual core it will not have the multitasking like a 4/6/8 core CPU can get you. To be honest though, I have seen one of my children in particular have HotS, PvZ, and terraria all going at once and just tabbing between them when he wanted to play them, no issues what so ever all things considering.
