What connector type?  Type C? What is the transfer rate?

I was hoping for a type c connector, but it doesn't say that at WD or here at Newegg.  1 answer here says they didn't get the C connector, another answer said they got a type C. The USB 3.2 Gen 1 standard allows for 5 GB/sec., which can use a type A USB port for superspeed transfer rate. USB naming standards have gotten out of hand..

Does this new design of WD Passport have little rubber feet on the bottom as past models did?  Can't tell from the photos

No, it does not have little rubber feet on the bottom, but that has no bearing on its performance. It is an excellent drive. Just lay it on a flat surface. I bought 2 of them, one connected to the back of my computer and sitting on top of it, and the other connected to my flat screen monitor and sitting next to the its base on the desk. They work fine.

Can this be reformatted to use with Windows 7?

Is it easy to reformat for Windows 7?  After 4 HOURS today, I gave up trying to get Seagate One Touch 5TB up and running with WIN 7! =:(  My 1TB Passport was truly plug-and-play via USB port... can this 5TB be as easy?!  Pls advise before  buy another Passport, needed to store scanned 1900s photos files. TNX.

I think you probably can ,,, But you can often find a 5tb  version AT BBuy for 89.  You should also be able to buy a bare drive WD or Segate for less.

I would say if your system has a USB Port, it is probably compatible.  Other than that, I have no idea since I do not have a system such as yours.  You might want to check with Western Digital (The Manufacturer).  I am sure they would be more than happy to answer your questions.
