ADNS-3080 Optical Flow Sensor Module Horizontal Movement Detector APM2.52 APM2.6 Optical Flow Detector Module Board
- Overview: The ADNS-3080 is based on a new and faster architecture with enhanced navigation capabilities. The sensor can detect high-speed mouse movement of up to 40 inches per second, while acceleration can reach 15 g, improving user accuracy and fluency. Features: The ADNS-3080 provides high-speed motion detection of up to 40 ips and 15 g. Its optical navigation technology uses a programmable frame rate of more than 6400 frames per second. SmartSpeed automatically adjusts the frame rate for optimal performance and provides a serial port burst mode for rapid data transmission. Available with selectable 400 or 1600 cpi resolution and a 3.3-volt power supply. The ADNS-3080 is based on optical navigation technology. It measures position changes optically to obtain continuous surface images and mathematically determines movement. It includes an image acquisition system signal processor. The external microcontroller reads information from the sensor serial port and converts the data into PS2 or USB signals before sending them to the host PC or game console. For best tracking performance, SROM must be loaded into the ADNS-3080. This architecture enables the immediate adoption of new features and improved performance algorithms. The external program is supplied by Avago Technologies. On power-up and reset, the ADNS-3080 program is downloaded into volatile memory using the burst-mode procedure described in the Synchronous Serial Port section. Applications: The ADNS-3080 can be used
