Question 1

Does this motherboard support booting from a USB drive?  Have you done it?

Any motherboard made in the last few years including this motherboard, will be able to boot up from a usb.  The usb has to have bootable software installed to it.  If the motherboard doesn't automatically boot from the usb, you will have to go into the motherboard bios and change the boot order.  I haven't used this motherboard yet, but I do know that this motherboard is new enough that if you have the boot order right, and the usb drive is loaded right, this board will have no problems booting to it.  Just so you know, this board will only work with 3rd generation Intel processor or older.  It won't work for 4th gen.

Question 2

My current computer power supply has a 4-pin CPU power connector.  I am going to be replacing its motherboard with this one, but will I have to buy a new power supply? I know my 4-pin will plug in to an 8-pin, but will it work?  If it depends on the processor, I am buying a 77 Watt one that is compatible with this motherboard.

It will work, since the extra 4 pins are redundant GND and +12V connections. Of course you'll have 2x the current in each of the 4 pins as you would if you had all 8 pins connected, so I'll leave it to you to decide if that's ok in your setup.

Separate note, more related to power supply - but I did have to buy an 8-pin extension so the PSU connector could reach the 8-pin EPS on this motherboard. I assume it's because supply came with short cable, but could be that this mobo has the connector in a strange place. Something to consider if you're ordering this board and could save you having to place a second order for the extension and waiting a few more days.

Will this work for a 3470 Intel i5 processsor?

Hi Jon B.
First this is a great Motherboard. I'm using a Sandy bridge G850 Dual Core right now The Biostar Cpu list shows the i5 3470. At this time I've found all cpus on there list will work. This is due to the many Biostar motherboards I've bought over the years and never had problems. You might check with Intel Q&A for M.B. list with problems.

if i want to use i7-3770k with this mobo any updating needed on mobo?

No, this motherboard is designed to work with ivy bridge/sandy bridge 1155 pin processors. The only gotcha would be that you need a processor with onboard graphics, but since you are planning on using an i7-3770k, which has an Intel HD4000 onboard, you should be fine. A dedicated video card would also solve that problem too.

will this mobo fit an EVGA gtx 750 FTW? (its the evga 750 model with twin fans instead of just one)

I can't say absolutely whether that video card would be able to fit or not; I think it's likely the cooling assembly of the double-width card would sit on the chipset heatsink, but the heatsink is tapered down in the area of conflict and may be low enough to allow seating of the video card. (I'm using internal video and don't have a discreet video card in use.)  The heatsink may have been designed to allow this but it would depend upon the card's spacing between the top of the pci-e socket and the cooling assembly.

Question 6

I've had this motherboard for a few years now and have no problem I go to open my computer up and find a capacitor just sitting at the bottom ... It has fallen off the motherboard, is there a number to anything I could call to see if they could put back for me (I've tried can't get it back on)?

Have had good luck with my MB so far. Maybe study the pictures and see where the capacitor belongs, or it could not even belong on your board. luck.
