Are these new drives, I am reading the reviews to see that they may not be at all? I see nothing on the website that says they may be used.

The drive I purchased was new, and it works reliably. This response is coming from that very drive. As an aside, my daughter worked on this drive when she was employed by IBM and later Hitachi when IBM sold the business. Very pleased with my purchase.
