Are these brand new or refurbished?

The one I purchased came to me as a new drive, but I have purchased others from other sellers that where not only used but still had portions and data on them which made me think it was unit someone returned and just slipped through. Most sellers are good at honoring their return policies but they are human and mistakes do happen and it can be a real pain. I have even purchase a hard drive at a reliable electronics store and got it home to find that there was a brick in the box, made a very expensive door stop. Just don't be afraid to contact the seller if you do find the product is not what you wanted and don't wait to long to do so.
