DO NOT Buy SanDisk Support is horrible4/26/2017 6:58:59 PM
Pros: It ran for 3 months
Cons: it failed after 3 months
Dealing with their support is horrible and will consume too much time. After you prove your drive is having a problem you need to redo the entire process again to get the drive returned. They basically will keep you jumping through hoops until you give up and go away.
Overall Review: Any SSD that fails in the first 6 months should have an automatic replacement
Pros: Does just what it promises and no more. Fast and unobtrusive and cheap. No need for more for a basic desktop.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: SATA SSDs are like appliances now. They all seem to blend together and one works pretty much the same as another unless you worship at the altar of benchmarks or Crystal Diskmark. This will make you computer seem like a funny car running on nitro if you're coming from a spinning hard drive. If not.... more of the same. This a good, cheap drive and that's the best thing about it.
Pros: -Got this while on sale so it was a very good price for the storage amount.
-Improves your regular computer experience (figuring that you move your OS onto it)
-Loads most games much quicker.
Cons: -Sort of a cheap plastic feel to it but for the price its worth it. I mean like you're also putting it in your case so doesn't really matter too much as long as you're not smashing it with a hammer for some reason
Overall Review: many happiness ensued when replacing a HDD
Pros: Nothing fancy. Plastic case, not metal.
I bought two of these for backup. One to clone the system disk (c:) and another to do a weekly backup of data. Both worked right out of the box. Windows 7 found the right drivers instantly. The drives had to be initialized and formatted.
These have a three year warranty.
Cons: No cons so far.
Overall Review: Would recommend these drives to anyone needing good, simple, inexpensive solid state storage.
grabbed a spare for the great sale price6/18/2019 12:24:43 PM
Pros: -have used 3, 2 in laptops, 1 in a pc, not a single failure or hiccup so far
-great price
-decent speed for the price
-very reliable.
Cons: -non(hopefully forever)
Overall Review: i have used this exact model ssd to upgrade my old Samsung laptop, and a new hp that i purchased as a present for my mother. both worked out great, and continue to years later. also put one in my brother in laws budget gaming pc to give it a little boost. has done the job well. picked this one up because the sale price was great, and my spare Kingston ssd has been claimed, so i bought this to replace it, as i like to always have a spare ssd just in-case, as downtime is non-option for me personally. would definitely recommend to anyone looking for decent speeds for light gaming , or heavy personal use. as for heavy gaming, or video editing, ect, probably an m.2. otherwise, great drive, great price.
Pros: It ran for 3 months
Cons: it failed after 3 months Dealing with their support is horrible and will consume too much time. After you prove your drive is having a problem you need to redo the entire process again to get the drive returned. They basically will keep you jumping through hoops until you give up and go away.
