So far so good!5/23/2018 9:15:53 PM
Pros: Large capacity in a small package.
Cons: 15mm height means limited application
Overall Review: I purchased two of these drives to install in two free 2.5” bays in my NAS. They’ve been great! I have the two drives in RAID1 in the event one fails I (hopefully) don’t loose my data.
These have been in use for 90+ days with zero issues.
Pros: I love this thing for backups of my laptop. Coming up on 6 months and there hasn't been any hick-ups. Doesn't even get warm. Fast for a rotational drive. Seems very well built to me. A single USB cable supplies all the power. Know I'll get a couple more.
Cons: I've been using Seagate for two decades & have drives over 10 years old. My first 4Tb drive though. Three 2Tb Firecuda, three 2Tb Spinpoint, couple 1Tb drives and several smaller. Happy with them all.
No cons. Recommended
Overall Review: I did a real nob move & formatted the drive as MBR instead of GPT. The main partition was 2Tb and the 2nd was 1.6Tb. Couldn't figure it out and called Seagate to replace drive. The agent immediately identified the problem and had it fixed in a couple minutes, formatting as GPT. I was so grateful. Yeah Seagate!
Got 4, they all worked great!12/18/2016 1:51:06 PM
Pros: Used them as mirror drives in Mac Minis (models from when Apple still let you service them).
Packed individually (OEM style) and all working great. Small size, huge capacity, and low power usage.
Cons: None. Great drives.
Overall Review: Definitely would recommend them. I'll probably buy a few more for 2.5" Usb 3.0 enclosures.
