Just got the drive and used it to save data off of a failing HGST HDD.10/18/2018 3:43:12 PM
Pros: Works off of USB with hirens. Macrium reflect saw it and took the image flawlessly. Super fast copy for 1TB.
Cons: None yet.
Overall Review: Time will tell if this is a good product but so far I have nothing but an impeccable service record out of it.
Plug and Play Good Budget Upgrade for your Laptop9/16/2019 5:59:57 AM
Pros: 1. Speedy when compared to a 5000 RPM drive
2. Compatible with HP z15 AMD driven laptop
3. One for one swap
Cons: 1. I'm sure there's some faster gamer type drives but whatever
2. Doesn't come with external hard drive shell (come on now this one is kinda you know...)
Overall Review: Upgraded the memory on my budget laptop. Turned on task manager to find the bottle neck was the 5000 RPM 1 TB hard drive which was also a Seagate Barracuda I think. Like 12 screws, some hidden underneath the double sided tape rubber feet strips, plus two more holding the drive in place and (after the memory upgrade up course) later and a quick reboot and my system is markedly improved. Less hesitation. Task Manager says I have way too much memory (32 GB) but whatever it was cheap and worth it but my disk is no longer the bottleneck it was. Rock on, y'all.

Bought two drives from NewEgg, one was dead on arrival.7/1/2020 12:46:51 PM
Pros: Gone thru a hundred of these Seagates over the years, only had a few with premature failures, would say Seagate drives are typically among the best.
Cons: Never had a new Seagate fail right out of the box - until now.
Overall Review: Shipping took awhile, but just about everything has been disrupted by recent events.
Problem with online purchases - in a case of product failure - is shipping/return and warranty. If Seagate replaces new for new, I might get a working drive back in a couple weeks, but if replacement is "refurbished," I'm not interested.
