Is this an Advanced Format drive? I have been unable to clone an Acer Win Vista NON-Advanced Format drive to a Western Digital Advanced Format Drive due to the new sector size on those drives. Will this drive clone from a NON- Advanced Format drive?

This drive will accept Advanced Format files. The only caveat is if you are using Windows XP, then it WILL NOT work. The challenge comes with older drives, that are hardwired to use 512 byte sectors. The newer drives are still wired that way, but they fake out the AF system by writing eight of those sectors in a row, effectively giving you a 4096 byte sector (4k). In other words, unles you're using XP, this will work. Good luck.
