any one hearing a lot of noise from this drive ?

Nope, nothing here. I've lost two Western Digital's in the last 15 years so I stick with Seagate for now one as I've had nothing but good luck with them. As someone who has dealt with dying drives, I would recommend to immediately backup anything and everything that is important on that drive as it's going to die soon. All hard drives eventually kick the bucket as the spinning motors and ball bearings are bound to give out. If this is a new drive then contact Seagate ASAP and they might replace it for free, otherwise if it's past the warranty then you will need to buy a replacement. Don't let a single bad drive ruin your view on Seagate though, they are doing a great job right now. If you haven't already placed your OS on a solid state drive then go for it as your speed will massively increase and then you can just use these older platter drives to store your files. I'm a little crazy in the fact that I have 4 drives with one simply as a backup of the important drive at home and at work. Never trust important files to a single drive.

How many rpm's is it?

Mine is a 4TB 7200 rpm and 128 mb cache.
