Are these OEM Drives or Retail package?

Mine, bought directly from Newegg (this is important), was a bare drive, enterprise drives aren't going to have retail packaging. It was *not* properly packed using Seagate approved or Newegg's decade or so old method, but it made it to my place well enough. It's not an OEM drive in the sense that the warranty is with Seagate, not an OEM, you really want to avoid the later.

is this drive compatible with Synology DS220+ NAS? It shows that ST8000NM000A - 2KE101 with firmware SN02 is confirmed to work on the Synology web page.

My drive has the sn02 firmware.
