Is this drive CRM or SRM?

The Seagate Exos 12TB Enterprise HDD is a SATA drive, not a CRM or SRM drive.

can i use this in a regular desktop ?

If you don't mind using a drive that can't be verified by Seagate, most likely. The drive that I recieved a short while ago was pathetically packaged and the scan code that is used for verification was refused by Seagate meaning that the serial number isn't valid for warranty. I have absolutely no trust in this seller because of that, I can't put the drive into a computer because I have no idea what it actually is. It could be a Seagate and it could be some knockoff. I have no desire to stick a fake drive into my computer, I don't even know whether there is already data on the drive (read VIRAL data). So here I sit, out $200, can't use the drive, might not be able to return it and it can't be verified so it might be 12T, it might be a Seagate, it might be a new drive - who knows?!?!???
