I have a motorola dvr from my cable company can I upgrade the storage capacity by upgrading the 500gb video seagate drive with this one?

If your Motorola DVR supports 4TB of storage this should work for you. I have this installed as an eSATA external storage on a Directv Genie and it's done a great job for the last six months.

What external case or enclosure is compatible with this hard drive and would allow me to use an eSATA cable to connect the hard drive to my TV PVR ie to use as an expander?
