Yes it is compatible. It shouldn't matter if you get one 8 or 2X4. Just be sure you read your users manual for the motherboard when you install the ram. It will tell you where single channel (one 8) or duel channel (2X4) RAM is supposed to be installed. Since there are 4 slots it matters. Hope this helps.

I bought this with the ASUS P8 Z77-V LK MOBO and it doesnt seem to be recognizing this ram... I looked up the QVL and although its not on  its list (i have used others that arent also). The general rule was just 1.5v with 9-9-9-24 timing... I dont get why this one wont work?... any suggestions on new ram without going over 100 dollars?

What I have found with ASUS QVL is that it's annoyingly outdated just about all the time. I would contact ASUS support and ask them if this memory kit is compatible with their motherboard. They can tell you quickly.

From first glance that timing and voltage is on the QVL. If it's not on the QVL and they say it's not supported I've noticed with my ASUS boards that it still works. The only problem I've ever had with non QVL ram is overclocking doesn't work as well. Hope this helps.

Will this work with Intel DH55TC board?  According to Crucial's website, it says this is compatible with DH55TC, but according to Intels specs on this board, it only supports DDR3 1066/1333. So why would Crucial's site list only 1600 memory for all of its results? Is it because this memory has a 1333 profile in it? Anyways, bottom line, just looking to know if this will truly work in the Intel DH55TC board? Thanks!

I purchased it for my F series Sony laptop and it works there as for your case I really cannot help.  I did an upgrade by getting information from the smaller RAM and using it to find the same specifications in a larger RAM.

I've got a ASUS P8H61-M LE/CSM R2.0. MOBO  I'm looking at this kit for specs and Fitment? Cruicial didn't list this kit on there site.

The Newegg spec for this board shows 1600, but the spec at Asus doesn't show the 1600 speed for this board - that being said, I am fairly sure this memory would work fine with that board.  I have installed this kit on several hundred systems without any issues.

I believe your machine uses 1333MHZ memory (10800).  I doubt that your computer can use 1666, as it often requires a BIOS setting (XMP) be set so the motherboard will recognize the higher speed.  Chances are the machine won't boot with this memory.

8gb of memory, with an SSD is usually more than enough for all but the most demanding applications - even games and Photoshop, which often rely primarily on the video subsystem.  If you are running multiple virtual machines, then more than 8GB might help, but your processor is your limiting component.

Looking at the specs, I'd say yes. I looked at Crucial's web site and they don't list the Ballistix. Max memory for the desktop is 16GB (4x4GB), CL=11, Unbuffered non-ECC 1.5V.

Is there an advantage to buying 2x4Gb sticks of this rather than buying one stick of 8Gb?

Memory works in pairs. Its faster. It alternates between two channels so they must  be identical. I prefer 16 Gigs so I get 2 8 gig simms. Hope this works for you.
