Nope.  That board is an Intel LGA 1150 socket type.  This is an AMD AM3+ Socket type.  When picking a board, the two most important things to look at are socket type and, in the case of AMD, how much wattage the socket can support.  AMD has a a couple of current socket types, Intel has about a good half dozen plus.

No water cooling, it's a regular CPU fan. Water cooled would be overkill as it is a 95W processor and is not as hot as a 125W or 220W processor would get.

yes comes with heatsink and fan,mine had copper tubes very nice for stock set up. if you are going to over clock add after market cooler.     FX8320 black edition

Just stock fan cooler, only if your not into over clocking but if you are so, I recommend  aftermarket cooler like cooler master hyper 212 or your choice that fits your bu get needs, I got my the older version cooler master that has retention clips due to case size of setup can fitted with 2 92mm fans, it work like charm still even this newer bulldozer processor, I got miNE overy lock to 4.3 ghz with 2500 FSB and 2800 HT ,Amazing results for this budget cpu, it evendors withstand against the i7 ivy bridge ...

I was wondering if the stock cooler this comes with will work well enough for gaming? Also is the fan on the heat sink replaceable? I've heard it's really loud and I was hoping that would help.

The Stock Cooler will run fine, as long as you don’t go turbo and dont play for extremely long periods of time and the case is good airflow. you will need to keep the heat immaculately clean, the fan i believe is replaceable but the size is uncommon. fan speed is controlled by the motherboard and the sound will very.

Will this CPU work in an ECS  A960M-M4 (V1.0) motherboard?

According to there specs it should handle it just fine, but I probably wouldn't try to overclock it on that board. Although mine runs great at regular stock clock and a tx3 for cooling.

How would this perform against an a10 6800k with a 750ti sc in gaming?

I right now run a R9 280x with my FX-8320E, I acquired my by accident bought all my stuff half asleep and got the wrong cpu. So far, the has performed far beyond my expectation, i can run most games in ultra with above 45fps and run a server for sed game. The A10 6800k is a APU which is a CPU and a GPU wrapped into one. Fx-8320E has NO integrated graphics, All the Graphical Processing will be done with your GPU. Also This is the FX-8320E, The "E" means low power, you loose bout .3GHz in speed. I highly suggest if you not going to be power savvy buy the non E variant (around the same price as this one) or a better one, because from factory specs this cpu is slightly slower than a FX-8300. Though with clock management in amd catalyst control center i have gotten the CPU up to 4.4GHz.

I currently have a fx-6300 on an asus m5a97 le r2.0 and a 80+ 450 watt cpu how do you think this will work as an upgrade if possible?

It should work. The power requirements and the socket are the same specs/type. I would recommend that you do this upgrade once because some cpu sockets are meant for one upgrade only if none at all.

With that being said; unless your FX-6300 is old and almost shot or you are wanting to do anything graphics oriented such as render video and/or play Battlefield 4 on ultra at 4k; the processor you already have should be good enough for just about everything.
