Exceptional overclocking and memory timings. 9950x3d can clock to 5.9 GHz stable. Makes things smooth as butter. Having all the options to tune so many things means as time goes on we can hone in on the highest fps, lowest latency possible.
Its desing is one of the coolest I've seen within this price range. The RGB isn't that flashy but it's still nice
This motherboard ACTUALLY supports 128GB of RAM.
Fast boot, great build quality, good bios.

Fast internet , mounting screw holes aligned perfectly with case. Nice setup for mounting M@ memory cards along with screws and heat transfer material in slot. Extremely good alignment for all screws and screw provided for M.2 memory.
The PCIE lane sharing is better set up on this board than many others. Subtle use of RGB (could be a con depending on what you want). Easy release lever for primary PCIE slot! Very good VRM. Backplate (not sure why it is there but it adds to the quality feel). Lots of NVMe.
This motherboard has an impeccable construction, a very solid and robust construction, the package of extra accessories that comes with it is one of the best I have ever seen, I can say that it was worth every dollar spent, if you can get an MSI GODLIKE motherboard you will know the excitement of receiving one of these in your home.
- Sturdy, quality construction - Built with overclocking in mind - Large heat sink (probably overkill) for PCIE gen 5 M.2 SSD's
All's good so far A+++
First of all, I absolutely love the design of this motherboard. This is my first computer build and I wanted a cool looking board with a good reputation to back it up. I have many MSI products because they have never let my down and they look really good at the same time. The instructions were easy to follow, and I had no problem getting my first board in place.
-Excellent VRMs for price -Aesthetically pleasing w/ plenty of ARGB headers -Robust IO -Easy to build in -Intuitive AI OC features
Easy to install X870 motherboard at a great price
- 4 NVME sockets - PCIe Gen 5.0 - No lane sharing between M.2 sockets and PCIe expansion slots - 6 SATA3 6.0 Gb/s connectors - USB4
Easy to install. Well organized. Good for basic system.
- Beautiful looking board - No RGB - No lane sharing with PCIe - Debug LCD
No issue at all Paired with 9900X with 7900 GRE and it works like a charm I went back to AMD because of Intels problem
With the price, you get alot out of it
I like WIFI on the motherboard. The PCI-e slots are not one 16x and the others 1x but all long type same as 16x. There are 4 RAM memory slots allowing the installation of a second set of RAM sticks if need be. There are 2 M.2 SSD locations and 8 SSD SATA available. It is a well tought of motherboard by MSI. Most recent computer cases will be well suited for this motherboard and solid state hard drives.
Lots of IO connectivity. Solid construction, heavy Lots of heatsinks
