Really good, temps run well under load with an AIO. Fast, decent upgrade from my previous 7700x

Upgraded to this from a Ryzen 5 2600 and let me tell you the difference is incredible. I have this in an Aorus build with a B450M and 1080 ti Extreme. Running with this processor has breathed new life into the 1080 ti at 1440p. Almost every game runs maxed out with at least 60FPS. Noticed substantial increases in Cyberpunk 2077 and Horizon Zero Dawn.

Less power draw, lower temps, better frame rates, then 7700x. Seems better than outgoing model my opinion.

- 16 cores/32 threads, what's not to like? - Heaps of cache - More efficient than 7950X in most workloads for similar performance

It runs cool and the extra lanes of Gen 5 PCIe is superior to LGA1700 designs.

- Clock speed of 4.7GHz out of the box - Quick, consistent multicore/single core performance - Affordable (at MSRP)

FAST AS HELL. have a full boat of memory, 6 12 TB of NVMe cards , 2TB in each slot , 196 GB of ram, it can handle everything you throw at it , running a 7900 20GB video card .. every this interface without a problem , running less than 20 pings, playing star citizen FPSA is 59 FPS , the game it self can go any faster , and I here from chat most are in the 40 to 50 FPS .

It's an expensive CPU. The 9800X3D is still and excellent choice. Since I was upgrading from a 32 core 13900K I did not want to lose out on the productivity performance so that is why I chose the 9950X3D.

Excellent performance. I have had zero issues. It has lots of single and multi-core power and it will likely chew up and spit out anything you throw at it. I upgraded from the first gen 16 core threadripper that was struggling under DX12 ray tracing, and it was a huge upgrade for me.

This processor is crazy fast. No problems with this one. AMD is still the cheaper and in some cases faster option compared to other choices.

As described by everyone else FAST AND POWERFUL . Runs cool with just a 2 fan air cooler

One thing to notice, the power supply needs to be enough large. 1000w or more if overclock is used.

- Minesweep literally looks real now. - I'm heating my office without even turning on my furnace. - My emails are received before I even click "send". - I can now open over 37 tabs in Chrome, simultaneously

8 cores of processing power yet low TDP X3D Cache makes for excellent gains in gaming performance I'm getting around 20-40 more FPS than my previous Ryzen 5 5600 1% lows are noticeably better, and games feel buttery smooth.

Runs cool at 4.4 ghz and is great for gaming

Had to return, waiting on new cpu. Return process was easy. Update! Received a new CPU and it worked great! So far so good. The 9700x runs VERY cool and boosts up to 5.5 ghz. I'm using an ARCTIC COOLING Liquid Freezer III - 240 and even during stress tests it only gets to 55c.

- Blazing fast! - Plays all the games I throw at it - Runs super cool

I was tempted to go to the dark side and try AMD for the first time. I'm glad I stuck to my guns. This thing is a beast! I saw some 5+ ghz and I haven't OC'd it. I really don't need to bump it up.

Windows 24H2 has a bug that can gimp the CPU Performance. High Performance power plan in Windows R23 score 39000. Ultimate Power Plan 40500. Has no issues maxing out a 7800XT You need to use CMD as admin to unlock the Hidden Ultimate Performance Power Plan. Google it faster at multicore than my 7970X3D and just as fast at lower resolution gaming.
