price is great performance is really good for a budget build. With the right GPU you can do pretty good 2k gaming.

No problems. Snappy responses. Works with 6000MTS ram with 4x64MB sticks.

Probably more than enough and well-balanced for most people.

Runs surprisingly cool, a beast of a cpu weather you use it for gaming or work it doesnt disappoint.

Can believe how much power this thing has

Luckily I like spending time tweaking my CPU. My benchmark scores and framerates really did not go up until I dialed in a good Core Offset, tuned the memory beyond EXPO's auto settings, turned off Core Isolation in Windows, downloaded Win 11 update KB5041587. I have not tried Win11 24H2 yet, and I am not running this with any version of Linux. Compared to my 7950x, I have way more throw with the Core offset. I can dial in a Core Offset beyond -25 with the 9950x, whereas my 7950x gets fussy when I try a CO beyond -5. The 9950x also doesn't run as hot.

Phenomenal performance, scores great on Cinebench and Windows feels extremely snappy.

Low Temps High Clocks Incredible Responsiveness

I'm running it in Bios, AMD (eco-mode) and, its a beast.. Unfortunately I don't have the cinebench results on this to show right now, but eco mode OR full power mode it goes FULL speed ahead and renders faster than last gen's 5950X for a fraction of the cost. AND yes, this chip does NOT run at 95c, I usually run around 36-40c and 60-70c at 100% flat out. It never exceeds 70c. Also uses a lot less power over all then last gen, or intel. No problem keeping the thermals in range with a quiet Noctua cooler.

At 4K, 100% GPU limited Low heat output compared to the 14900k, Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE operates at low RPMs, CPU nowhere near thermal limits.

Chip performance is solid for a 12th generation processor and thoughthere have been comments concerning this cpu running hot I am not having any problems with it as I am using an MSI double size water cooling system. So far cpu is staying in the low to mid 30's.Have not run any performance test yet but believe this cpu will do well for gaming and anything I throw at it. Have it installed on an MSI Z790 pro wifi motherboard which I am happy with. Lots of options and easy bios configuration and setup.

Exceptional speed for the temps. Allows video exporting/editing and play Black Ops 7 during video production.
