Easy driver updates on the new platform. As soon as I hit the desktop windows 11 kicked in and asked to update drivers to amd. Seamless transition. Great to be on AM5 platform for future upgradeability and ddr5 and pcie 5 support. Cpu? As expected, a beast. Much better at non-gaming than expected. I opened up as many programs and sites to load it but it wouldnt downgrade my performance. Noticeably smoother than my old i5-11600kf albeit that was a good cpu on its own. Cpu bound games like fortnite? I hardly saw the difference when i just upgraded gpu (3060 ti to 4070 ti super). Now the frames went from 300s to 700s plus on performance mode with this cpu. Other games saw similar (noticeable) boosts in 1440p ultra settings. Now Im actually maxing the 165hz monitor i have.
