Just had our first really bad power spike of the season a week or so ago, the smell of ozone – sitting in the dark then everything came back on [Including my new just built PC!!] nothing damaged nothing on fire! Have to say – I Am Impressed! My old PC exploded during a lightning strike just left a hole where the PSU was couldn’t even re-use the case. These spikes always ruined something on my PC in the past if I left it plugged in – not this time!!! This device is a life saver!!!
There are six universal plugs on the unit (can take any plug type from any country). The main lead is a British three prong (Type G plug) that fits into a UK (or similar) wall socket. You can them use up to six devices that have universal AC power adapters without fusing with plug adapters. Power lead is 6 feet long which I thought was the perfect size - not too much cable to pack, but enough to make it useful.
plug something into this and it gets power, ain't technology great. Cheapest with enough outlets to handle everything on computer desk.
Superb protection for equipment. I have several.
The power off switch is on the opposite side of the power cord, where the human generally is. The cord is in the back of the strip, where the outlet and cables generally are. With other strips you must to turn them around to reach which means a long cable wrapping around it and it will move constantly. Those strips are generally thinner too... so they are wont to flip over. This strip has a proportionally wider base which stops flips, even though it is not prone . I cannot believe that other manufacturers haven't adopted this approach as it simply makes sense.
Umm... looks prettier than some other surge protectors. 10 foot cable. 3690 joules!!! Has protection for cable/phone/data jacks. I haven't tested any of them, though, so I don't know if it'll reduce the quality of the signal or not. I only use the power outlets, and I'm really happy with the way they are placed on the unit. One side has 3 widely spaced outlets for big power blocks, and the other side has 5 outlets for regular plugs. Also, each outlet has a cover which slides close to prevent dust from building up inside the ones you're not using.
good quality. cords plugin easy.
High quality surge protection that I use for my home theater, including my TV, Cable/DVR box, A/V Receiver and a computer. The box and manual also states that this product has a lifetime warranty and also has $20,000 "Ultimate Lifetime Insurance" coverage.
Had line noise that affected my Audio recording - Went with Trip Lite due to brand reputation and it is one of the best decisions I could have made - Not a single "peep" of noise - Product is easy to hook up and about half the size of my old Monster Surge Suppressor - Lone the improvement in Cable TV picture quality and RJ-45 filter as well - On top of that if I get hit by lighting they cover damages up to 25K - If you spend a little bit more you will get one of the best - Thanks New Egg
