
I wanted to use this compound for at least 1 month before writing a review about it. NOW WHAT I CAN SAY FOR SURE IS THAT THIS THING DOES THE JOB DUDE!!! Important note: I have a hole in my case side panel right in front of my CPU cooler and I built a size-cut duct to link the hole and the cooler. After about 20 normal alternation of computer operation and power turned off (as they say on ArcSilv5 website) THE RESULTS ARE HERE: My 64 X2 CPU is running AT ROOM TEMPERATURE in IDLE. Because of the direct exclusive source of fresh air given to the CPU by the duct+CPU fan, My CPU temp IS 6-9 DEGREE C LOWER THAN MY CASE TEMP. AMAZING!!! THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I'M EXPERIENCING SUCH SITUATION. My CPU temp would raise up around 8-11 degrees above room temperature under intense gaming (at these times, I also increase CPU fan speed) while case temp would be usually stable... So let's say that I'm running a CPU under 30 C at IDLE and under 40 C while gaming, IN SUMMER!!! (No A/C in my room). Yeah!

Great temps

Years of building computers and using major brands and even generic super cheap thermal compounds i can only say MX-4 has ALWAYS gotten the best result with Air cooler and water. The only time I don't get good results with this thermal grease is if CPU cooler is not seated correctly.

- Keeps i7 265k at 30c idle with my 360 msi AIO - It was easier to spread this time. The first tube I got years ago was very clumpy. - It was pink-ish?!? Neat little spin on it.

Why did I pick this? I was intrigued by this so I bought it. Sure, its pricier than most pastes. There is a thick plastic side and a thin plastic side. I cut the piece to size and used a sharp utility knife to pre-peal the thin plastic side and fold the corner. I wiped the die with the enclosed alcohol pad, pealed the thick plastic side, centered the pad, used the spatula to press it down and then grabbed the pre-folded edge of the thin plastic to remove. It wasnt too bad. I dont know if it works better as I have not compared it to regular thermal paste but I am satisfied that I got an appropriate amount between the CPU and the cooler.

So easy to install and quick to act. Also shipping was so fast I was impressed

-Great performance. My CPU temp is around 28C at idle and caps out at 63C under sustained stress testing =O. Using a Cooler Master Hyper 212 cooling tower. Maybe I went overboard because the Ryzen 5 5500GT isn't the spiciest processor out there... but I can't say I regret it. -Included plastic spatulas and cleaning wipes were very helpful. Mixed results with the applicator tip.

Easy to apply and spread out across the cpu. Not thin and not incredibly thick and difficult to move. From hardware test / review of cpu temp, doing a good job after 3 weeks. Approx. temp now at rest and basic usage is 50c and noted temps only reaching up to 80c during game play. CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D - 8-Core 3.0 GHz Socket AM4 105W No Integrated Graphics
